Newbie Artist Training Grounds VI: Day 27

Nothing like some Napoleon to represent a leader and confidence though Celestia isn't looking too happy with this whole situation I must say. Welcome again my friends to yet another day of the ATG! How are you all holding up? It's tiring, I know, but you're so very close now! How close? Well, we only have today and the two days after left when it comes to unique prompts before we start wrapping things up with one last Makeup Day and your graduation prompt. It's been an exhausting road, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Our numbers are still holding strong as you guys add in another 107 ponies to our pile, bringing us up to an awesome 5144 ponies! I wonder how many images we will end up in total? I bet we can break 5500 if we really try!

As for today's prompt? I must admit it's my favorite subject and I'm curious to see what you guys can do with it as today you'll be drawing a pony doing science/drawing a pony pushing boundaries. What amazing things will your ponies discover in the next 24 hours? Guess we'll find out tomorrow night! For now though, find our submitter here.

Here we have a track from a very new artist to the fandom - even I only heard about them very recently. Whilst a little rough around the edges at time, this moombah-style dubstep remix from Suskii has some really cool sounds in it, and I just love those big chord stabs that add extra impetus to it. Maddie Pagel Receives Hundreds of Cards For Her Birthday!

Late last month we reported on a little girl with a rare form of brain cancer that had just one wish for her birthday party: birthday cards from around the world. The reaction by the community, Brony and otherwise, was overwhelmingly positive as it not only brought in a ton of cards but funds for her medical treatment. In fact just a little more than a week ago Hasbro even sent her a gift package for her special day!

Since then the local news station I originally heard Maddie's story from has ran a followup piece, showing the literally hundreds of cards and gifts she has gotten.

To all of you who saw our story when it was originally reported and either sent something her way or just wanted to wish her well, you have my most humble thanks. You guys really do rock! Apparently too, Maddie's family will still be accepting any cards and like items sent throughout September which also happens to be Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. So if you still want to send her a late birthday card or just some well wishes, find her address below along with a link to the followup article/TV Segment!

If more pictures of the little things she got from around the world crop up on the family's Facebook page or elsewhere we'll do a small followup ourselves to show you what she got! So stay tuned!

Legendary Animator Michel Gagné Joins the Pony Movie

Pony apparently got a pretty major animator on board early last month, but the announcement fell under the radar. Michel Gagné has been involved in some of the biggest kids projects out there, from The Land Before Time to American Tale and All Dogs Go to Heaven. He is currently hard at work on Sony's animated Spider-Man movie, but plans to hop over to pony as soon as he is done on it.

Music: Exiark & Chi-Chi - Life Still Left in Me [Electro House]

Exiark has produced some pretty crazy-sounding stuff in the past. Here he's teamed up with well-known vocalist Chi-Chi to release the first track from his upcoming album. Combining her vocals with some quality electro house sound design, this is definitely not a track to miss. Especially impressive is the section 4 and a half minutes in that showcases his strong production skills. There was also an acoustic version released on Chi-Chi's channel, which you can check out here!

Alternate Fluttershy Found from New Brushable Model Lineup

The new brushables seem to have a bit more going to them over a simple model redesign and future copy pasting. Joining the Fluttershy from yesterday from the new lineup, we have an alternate version with a more happy facial expression.

It could mean these are all prototypes and subject to change, but they could always mix it up with variants. It's something we haven't seen much of in the brushable line, but the movie could be where Hasbro plans to go all in on "extra" merchandising.

The Pony Alliance! World of Warcraft Online Mega Group!

If you play World of Warcraft, you are probably pluggin away at the recent expansion with us. Unfortunately, many of us have put stupid amounts of time into our specific servers, farming gold and other things you can't transfer between them.

When Legion launched, we thought it would be fun to do an Equestria Daily guild, but when you reroll on a server that you haven't invested stupid amounts of time into, you realize just how much you don't have there. Gold, resources, and a bunch of other things aren't readily available. So, lets do this a bit differently!

The Pony Alliance will be available on both the Horde and Alliance side. All you need to do is join the Equestria Daily Discord Chat where we've made channels for both factions! That'll be the central hub for all things WoW.

Come join us for normals, heroic, mythic, or maybe even pug raids later! Les do it!

If you're interested in starting up a new character, we still have "The Rainbooms" running on Wyrmrest Accord (Alliance Side), so feel free to roll one and join!

Music: Radiarc - Despite [Orchestral]

There sure has been a lot of high quality orchestral recently, and Radiarc keeps it coming with a sombre and hauntingly beautiful piece. The strings, the woodwind, everything about this track gives me a bit of a chill. With no need for percussion, instead the ever-present piano glues this piece together wonderfully - one of my recent favourites from Radiarc.
