I wish I didn't have to bring this news to you all. A few days ago, CommandSpry had posted a video on his YouTube channel, explaining a shocking revelation. SoaringFlight, a Slovenian musician who was prominent in the brony musical scene a few years ago had died after taking a hiatus from music and supposedly vanishing. According to SoaringFlight's sister, he had fallen asleep while driving and perished in a car crash.
This loss is very tragic, and while we here at Equestria Daily cannot do much but report what we know, I offer one way to heal the wound. While SoaringFlight is no longer with us, his SoundCloud still remains. Head on after the break for some more information, and the remainder of SoaringFlight's legacy within the fandom: his music. I offer my condolences to SoaringFlight's family, and I only wish we knew sooner.

So, last time we asked what previous generation antagonist you would love to see in Friendship is Magic, the go-to answer was the Smooze. Well, a lot of you got your wish when none other than the ‘Ooze with Moves’ appeared as the dapper, music loving, sticky friend of Discord. While the draconequus totally stole the spotlight as the main baddie mastermind behind our favorite green, living stomach; that does fall in line with the 1986 My Little Pony ‘n Friends episode when the smooze was released by the witch, Hydia.
Writers for the show regularly pull in mythological creatures from a variety of cultures but every once in awhile they bring in the bad guys from decades past. So who’s next? Join me after the break for a look into who’s left and theories on how they’ll disrupt the harmony of Equestria! Oh and by the way SPOILERS ahoy for those who’ve yet to see the previous gen cartoons.

Starlight Glimmer has joined Coloratura in the new transluscent Explore Equestria lineup over on the My Little Pony website. This seems to be their focus for early 2016 brushable singles. I'm still hoping we get a regular Coloratura. Will we see that? Toy Fair is right around the corner after all.

- All comments will be migrated from Intense Debate and Blogger over time. We have temporary archives set up on old posts you can click on to view old comments until it is complete (Update: old blogger comments should already be done. Hello 9000 comments on FoE)
- login with Twitter, Facebook, Google, Yahoo, and a bunch of others, or Create a Disqus account here for full control
- Image uploads are temporary disabled while Leon fixes it in the app
- We are looking at a way to add pages since we are old people and like pages more than the more modern "show more" thing, but until then we have it set to sort by newest default. You can change it to whatever you like (oldest, best, newest) and it will save for you.
- If we do enable images, no clop, saucy, or gore will be allowed.
- EQD mods will have [Blogpony] next to their name
- App users: Download the new update for Disqus
- The chat bubble at the top of the window will help you find your comment when things get crazy
Everything else should stay the same! As with all changes, I know it will be a little weird for a while. Please give Disqus a chance though! It is MUCH less buggy than Intense Debate was and constantly receives new updates.
Now go play with it! It's actually a really nice commenting system once you get used to how it works.

Equestria Girls has released a new short with Twilight Sparkle, that is only 15 seconds long.
I'm wondering if this is what we are going to expect to see in the future or not? I don't think we thought it would be tiny shorts like that when they announced them a few weeks ago.
