This story is written such that one does not need to have read Rites of Ascension beforehand to understand and enjoy it. However, one should know a few quick, easy things going in. First, Season Three and later do not exist in the Rites timeline, and second, Cadence is a winged unicorn rather than alicorn. Also, I'm aware the comics tackled this topic, but this is in my own AU, and I first wrote this more than a year ago. Consider this an alternate take on the idea. Other than that, you should be able to dive in with no problems.

MLP Comic Omnibus

A whopping 280 page compilation of the first 12 issues of the My Little Pony comic series is set for pre-order over on Amazon.  For those that haven't jumped in already, or the cover collectors out there, expect to see it drop on the 28th of October.  I'd suggest reading it before that though! Slackers.

"Adorkable" Now a Real Word

It seems like just yesterday Twilight Sparkle earned the term "Adorkable" via the "Look Before You Sleep" episode. She was already cute and booknerdy before that one, but this was her crowning achievement as queen of the ridiculously cute dorky ponies.

It looks like after a poll event held by Collins, Adorkable has joined their official list of words with 30% of the vote.  It now has it's own entry. 

I'm not sure who exactly bombarded said poll, but good work to those that did!

Botcon Exclusive Transformers Cover Includes Vinyl Scratch

Lots of comics and merch news today! We have another one from Botcon this time around.  This is apparently the Toy Federation exclusive cover for the upcoming #30 Transformers comic. Get it at the Toyfusion booth on June 20-22 if you plan on attending.

Ponymania Talking Chrysalis Arrives on Toys R' Us Website, Description Included

You all seemed to like stockings Chrysalis so much, I wouldn't be surprised if she did pretty well! The Australian Toys R' Us has popped her up there, complete with the manufacturer description:

Toys R' Us Listing Zecora Equestria Girl

Following that Ponymania punk-rocker style lineup, Toys R' Us in Australia has tossed up this Zecora Equestria Girls doll, complete with the mohawk and a whole bunch of piercings. The exact description on her:

Discussion: What Episode Would You Use to Introduce a Person to the Show?

Heya everyone! I'm back from the Big Apple and ready to once again post up all sorts of pony stuff. While I was away I got some thinking done, especially when watching some season 1 episodes on the big screen for the first time.

Back in the day we often discussed what would be the best episodes to introduce people to our little pony friends and show them that this show isn't just a girl's show, but a show for everyone of all ages. Now this was back shortly after season 1 so our choices were limited, but usually people seemed to agree with episodes like Dragonshy, Bridle Gossip, and Party of One as good introductory episodes. But now that we have four seasons of material to work with, what episodes would you guys use to introduce someone new to the series?

Season 4 My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Silently Invades Netflix Streaming

It looks like Netflix has added season four to the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic entry.  Aside from a small derp in the title of Power Ponies (Super Ponies for Netflix), it seems like all of the episodes are available and intact. 

Now go watch it and make it sit in the popular section for a month like last time!

It seems like pegasus wings get more and more flexible each season. I wonder if we will ever see some of that earth pony magic used to it's fullest though? It has already been proven that they aren't the only ones that can grow crops. Do they just do it faster?

Over in the wonderful world of Twitter, it looks like Lena Hall has picked up on the brony love we have been throwing her way after her speech at the Tony awards yesterday.  She now has a pony, and she needs  name for it over on Twitter.  I think you guys can handle that, can't you?
