Equestria Daily was invited to have a little bit of time with the big names from My Little Pony: Forever Friendship! Head Writer Gretchen Mallorie and Series Director Tayhan Mustafa answered a whole bunch of questions for us about the new show, along with how the planning went leading up to it.

Theme Song is now on Spotify
After over a year of almost complete silence, we finally have some pony news to post straight from Hasbro! They've fully revealed the newest My Little Pony series: Forever Friendship.
Like their previous offerings, this will be premiering exclusively on Youtube in early 2027, and follow Twilight, Pinkie, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy on a brand new journey of "friendship, magic, and self discovery" as the description goes. Each episode will be 9 minutes long and release bi-weekly.
What's most surprising is the art style. They've grabbed illustrator Nicholas Kole for this one, who previously worked on projects like the Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Disney's card game Lorcana among many other things. He, in collaboration with the studio Lil Critter Workshop is bringing on the style you see above.
And we can also confirm that the song popping up all over Youtube is in fact the anthem they are using to celebrate this whole event, though it's considered a special cover of the show's theme song to be featured in the title sequence and performed by the pony voice cast.
