Newbie Artist Training Grounds IX: Day 2

You know, when I mentioned ponies standing I really should have known that we'd end up with a fair number of JoJo references. Well done, well done! Every year when I think a prompt may be a dud you guys show me just how imaginative you all are and convince me of your talents, new artists or old.

For our very first gallery we managed to accumulate 175 ponies! Not as big as previous years, but we did make some changes that could have messed with people's schedules this year. All the same an impressive number my friends!

Now, what you've really been waiting for, the prompt for today! Simply put, now that we have our ponies standing it's time to get them moving a bit. So for the next 24 hours I would like you guys to take a shot at drawing a mobile pony / Drawing a pony showing off his moves.

Star Swirl Music: MEQA & Arturo Höst - Amniomorphic Spell [Neurohop/IDM]

It's SO great to get a more "experimental" track in a Ponies at Dawn album, and to have the experimental scene represented in some way! MEQA and Arturo Höst do us the honors of opening minds, with a crazy and surprising experiment about "the father of the amniomorphic spell" as explained by Twilight in Luna Eclipsed. With a distinct magical atmosphere blending genres and influences, and a tasty and crisp sound design all throughout, the masterpiece sure is a fitting musical enactment of the spell and of Star Swirl's power! Trivia for those who don't know, here is the actual meaning behind the name of the spell!

SPIKE Music: Francis Vace - Molt [Ska]

New song by Francis Vace everypony!! Wooooo!! Now it's time to dive once again into a fluffy tribute to a specific episode, and you will be able to guess that one from the title already! Singing as Spike in S08E11 Molt Down that is definitely a momentous episode, Francis delivers an extension of the episode in musical format, that could also be seen as the song of the episode that we never got, or like a hidden scene, or like a theme song for the episode. It's just so perfect in every way, with much Equestrian vibes from the cute and happy Ska instrumental, and all the love that we can hear in Francis' passionate vocals that always make me melt. The lyrics are so wonderful and we get immersed in the setting so easily, and the last part especially is my favorite, it's quite emotional! We love you Francis, keep it up!!
