Single Purpose has been around a fair few months on Soundcloud, but they've only recently ported all their tunes over to YouTube, and in my opinion this remix is certainly the most impressive of them! A smooth drum & bass remix of iblank2apples' Twilight tune, there's fantastic use of vocal samples and groovy chords throughout the track with excellent drums as well. Check it out below!

It's always surprising how large these collections keep getting as the years tick by. Some of your houses have entire dedicated pony rooms at this point! That's nuts! I have a few boxes of pony with some of my favorite art prints framed and plushies/figures out, but definitely not a full room.

It's not often you see a company like Hasbro drip it's toes into the pride thing. Over on Instagram, their official account slapped this one up in celebration of #PrideMonth. Will the more shippy among us finally get a full on Lyra and Bonbon love scene out of a future season? Only time will tell~

Discovery Family has started a new thing called "Summer Surprises", where every Friday they will show a "surprise". consisting of (supposed) brand new pony and EG stuff, at least according to the promo they dropped off. We don't have much info other than that though, as it's supposed to be a surprise!

Silva Hound has another new tune out from his upcoming Equestrian Stories EP, this time focused on Lightning Dust. A somewhat anthemic house tune, the real highlight for me is the strings and vocal chorus in the break, which is sung by Namii, PrinceWhateverer, Lavender, Chi-Chi and Vylet. Check it out below!

We've got four writers returning from last season for this season's second half! And one of them even includes a song.
The Fox Brothers previously wrote or helped write P.P.O.V., Discoradant Harmony, Forever Filly, and Gift of the Maud Pie, while Wyatt and Burke teamed up for The Times They Are a Changeling, and Viva Las Pegasus. If you liked those episodes, expect similar styles.

Teaming up with PegasYs, Jyc Row has a new track featuring a prominent voice from the show! After Onwards last year which included Aloma Steele, the singing voice of Luna's Future, he's now teamed up with Michelle Creber, voice of Applebloom. The orchestral instrumental complements the vocals and PegasYs' lyrics and vocal melodies fit Michelle's voice wonderfully. Check it out below!

The Gameloft MLP game has added the Pharyx story for anyone still grinding away at it. This follows up on all the dragon land stuff from the last round, meaning the seasons are being combined for various quests with this one being a reboot or copy of an older one.

The Silly Looks Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie brushables have started appearing in stores, or more specifically Target in this place. These stick out their tongues and have a silly expression, possibly moreso because they are a little bizaare looking from the front than any actual technology~

We've had two reports now from different people that Sunset Shimmer is heading to Build a Bear next, following up on the My Little Pony Movie plushies from a few months ago. Apparently she's in the employee booklet for upcoming toys, though they haven't actually released images officially yet.
Of course, this is still a rumor until we get actual confirmation. She seems like one of the better releases considering how popular she is, and I'm sure plenty of people want a pony version of her for their collections.

It looks like MLP at SDCC is going to be heavy on pins this year. Exhibitor "A Shop Called Quest" (Booth #: 4519) is going to have a set of Hasbro Enamel Pins this year as part of their SDCC Exclusives.
So far only their pins for Dungeons & Dragons and G.I. Joe (COBRA! Emblem) have been revealed, however it has been announced there will be Transformers and My Little Pony Pins part of the set as well.
It will be $10 for the pin, and each pin design is limited 5 per person.
A Shop Called Quest is no stranger to the My Little Pony franchise. They currently have a dedicated page on their website to their exclusive officially licensed products with art by David Baker. Plus they also had an under the radar SDCC exclusive pin from 2017, which is still available through their online store.
MLP news from SDCC will be coming fast and hard over the next three weeks. Be sure to check in with EQD for all the updates as they come in!

A big surprise announced during New York Toy Fair 2018 was that Kotobukiya will produce a series of Equestria Girls Bishoujo Statuettes. And the advertising campaign for the series will kick into high gear at SDCC!
Kotobukiya will be giving away free My Little Pony Bishoujo posters at their booth (#2601) during SDCC. The posters will feature original art by famous Japanese Illustrator Shunya Yamashita, and will be given out on a rotating basis over the four days of the convention.

A few seasons ago, a girl got accepted by the Make a Wish Foundation to have her OC pony added to the show. Angel Wings quickly grew a Twitter following after the episode aired, and until yesterday had continued to interact with her fanbase almost daily.
Unfortunately, it looks like Twitter has shut the account down. The prevailing theory was an issue with the birth date. Apparently when you open a Twitter account, they are pretty serious about having an accurate date of birth on file. Angel Wings popped something random in there, as many of us tend to do, and when she tried to change it recently to an accurate date, her account was flagged and shut down.
Of course, that is just the theory right now. Twitter likes to randomly nuke accounts for whatever reason. Even the EQD account got bombed once and popped up a few hours later like nothing happened. This has been going on for a day though, so hopefully someone over there gets her issue processed. As of 1AM though, it's still down.
I guess call this OC of the day since we are at this time anyway!

It's Japan time everyone!
Though the official Japanese dub had ended a few years ago, the MLP comics are now being translated at a fairly regular pace.
The second volume of the Phase 6 edition of the My Little Pony comics is now out in Japan! What makes this edition unique from the other versions published around the world is that there are two unique covers designed for them! Both are illustrated by IDW Cover veteran, and Japan Native, Kaori "sbis" Matsuo, which makes them a delightful collectors item for the IDW Comic collector.
Which is the point of view I shall be reviewing the edition on. How does the trade dress work in this edition, and is it worth the expense of shipping internationally from Japan?
As for reviewing the translation, I'm going to skip out on that. I am not qualified to rate a japanese translation of an english comic for one simple reason: I can't read japanese.
So is the book worth it to collect? You'll find out in the full review after the break!

With 3 weeks left until SDCC is upon us—AAAAAAHHHHHH—the first My Little Pony SDCC Exclusive for the convention has finally been announced.
I have a feeling it won't be the last, since Hasbro hasn't announced their exclusives for the convention yet.
Anyways, up first for SDCC is this wonderful My Little Pony '83 Pin set from Toynk! The MLP '83 initiative was first announced by Hasbro back at New York Toy Fair, with the only clue as to what this is going to be about being "being more info coming soon." Looks like we might be getting that info at SDCC!
The MLP '83 pin set is made up of 3 pins and will retail at booths 815, 4437, and 5245 for $15.00. Like all SDCC Exclusives it is limited in quantity. In this case the run is limited to 1,500 sets. So if you want to get your hands on them get there early!
