We are about two weeks past the big release of the My Little Pony movie, and now that the hype train is starting to settle down, it's time to look back at it. When we asked for ideas a few days ago during the Q&A, a lot of people wanted some opinions on what some of us blog dudes thought.
I've been talking to people pretty much everywhere about it since seeing it, and have shifted opinions all over the place since then. So, without further adieu, my final verdict on the My Little Pony Movie below!

It looks like the pen and paper Tails of Equestria RPG has expanded into the movie lore. Coming hot on the heels of the Underdark style expansion a few weeks ago, the new movie book includes a host of improvements to the game, adding new locations, non-pony races from the movie, expanded rules, a new adventure, more creatures to battle, and more!

I realize we haven't had any new videos for the appreciation days lately from our fine feathered friend! He's been busy after all and of course after doing certain videos for some ponies it can be hard to find new material to talk about each year I would assume.
Instead of letting Silver's wonderful analysis videos gather dust I'll try and post up his older ones for these days! Do you still agree with what he has to say in light of more recent episodes? What do you think has stayed the same?

We interrupt Applejack Day to bring you breaking news out of Japan.
Bronies heading to The Land of the Rising Sun in January for Japan PonyCon are in for a special treat! This morning, Japan Ponycon announced they will have an exclusive cover for the Trade Paperback collection of the Japanese Translation of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Volume 1: The Return of Queen Chrysalis.
Now that's one sentence I never thought I'd write in my life. I wonder if anyone will ever try saying it three times fast.
Anyways, the cover by Japan PonyCon artist Kolshica , and features the Mane 6 visiting Poniko's little tea stop eating a traditional snack "manjyu" (basically steamed buns with red beans). The piece is drawn in the Ukiyo-e style of Japanese art (which flourished from the 17th – 19th centuries).
Specifically the piece featured to the right by Kyosai Chikamro was the inspiration for this My Little Pony Cover. Absolutely incredible work!
And Kolshica absolutely nailed the cover! Absolutely incredible work! I seriously need to get my hands on it…
I really wish I could afford to fly to Japan Ponycon 2017, which is taking place on the weekend of November 3th & 4th!
The exclusive cover is limited to only 200 Copies. So if you if you're heading to the convention and want to pick up a copy, be sure to pick it up quick!

AJ has always been our rather dependable pony on the show. Next to Twilight she often seems to the be the next most level headed, stepping up when she is needed. She's dedicated, has a loving family, and is an all around great friend. She has her flaws though, sometimes micromanaging things a bit too extremely or being a bit overprotective.
What do you guys think? What sort of further development would you like from AJ? What to you like or dislike about her?
