Rainbow Dash finally hit her dream after five long seasons, and the fandom reacted! What did people think? What do they want you to think?!
I'll be honest - we have started getting flooded with these things each week. Many of them are turning into one guy in front of a webcam with a barely legible mic talking about the episode 20 minutes after it airs. We are going to have to enforce a few quality control things here. Like every other post on EQD, people will stop watching all of them if the quality overall isn't up to some kind of part, and these posts have always been free for all. This hurts everyone, and I can't remember why I decided to do it this way.
So, from now on, we are going to require at least a bit of effort on these. Write a script, record in HD, use high resoultion visuals, use a microphone that clearly picks you up. With episodes popping up on iTunes literally a day later now in 1080p, there really isn't much of an excuse for using grainy screenshots at 240p. I'm not going to require everyone to have an incredible non-pony creator OC with 30 vectored reactions, but at least grab some modern day cheap tech and do some editing and writing.

Such a cute family. Source.
You can tell a lot about someone by looking at their family. The Pies used to be an enigma for many seasons. They were shown in Season 1 as anti-fun farmers who only cared about their work. Yet with episodes like "Hearthbreakers" and "Maud Pie", we got a glimpse into a family that was completely different from Pinkie. Let’s talk about the Pies and how you can get stories from excellent secondary characters after the break.

It looks like Derpy got ahold of the EQD app's database. Unfortunately the server hosting push notifications and comments randomly got nuked. Unfortunately, our app guy Gameleon who manages the database backups is out of the country until the 23rd of this month.
We managed to recover a older backup, but commenting and push notifications are still a bit unstable until Gameleon works his magic once he returns home. New in app purchases are disabled as well until then to prevent any issues there.
For now, if you want to comment via mobile while the app isn't working, you can still use the usual browser based EQD site. Expect a fix once he gets back home!
Until then, go draw Derpy blowing up servers.

It looks like Dashie couldn't beat the Greatest and Most Powerful pony and Glimglam. Newbie Dash hit 190,000 viewers, 50,000 less than last week. Outside of ratings being a complete mystery, I am not too sure what could have caused that one. Maybe a lack of promo material?

Something went down yesterday in MLP movie land. Both Meghan McCarthy and Daniel Ingram dropped some hype off over on Twitter. My guess is some kind of epic song, but It's sounding like most of the MLP movie is going for epic, so it could be anything.

Well folks, it is with a heavy heart that we have come to Katie Cook's last issue of My Little Pony… at least for a little while. Will she return? Probably. But in the meantime, she is going out with one heck of a sendoff!
Not only has she done a variant cover for the comic—with Pinkie Pie apparently jumping over a shark—she has also crafted one heck of a story with Andy Price where Pinkie Pie makes a comic book!
Considering that Pinkie Pie usually breaks the 4th Wall with gusto in the series, she is the perfect choice for starring in this comic about making comics. I'm sure there is an Inception joke to be made here, if it weren't for the fact that using comics to teach about comics is an actual thing.
Anyways, I hope you're all ready for one heck of an issue from IDW! As always, you'll be able to find it in the links below!
