Considering the popularity of our old Japan Time series it's a wonder something like this took so long. Ever wondered what Equestria Girls would look like as a visual novel? Hasbro Seems to Be Pushing the Cross Gender Toy Idea With Guardians of Harmony

A new image released by Hasbro about Guardians of Harmony looks to be hoping for some crossover out of the usually little-girl dominated imagery they use for pony merchandise.  Up above, an official showing of the new Spike toy with projectile green fire was shown with both a boy and girl having fun with it. One quote on that toy in particular for those curious about how it works:

But the BIG news can’t stay hidden anymore, as MY LITTLE PONY presents SPIKE THE DRAGON in all his glory! It’s the first time SPIKE THE DRAGON has been offered as a “grown-up” version of himself. This mighty beast comes complete with lights, sounds, and firing projectiles to help his friends defend Ponyville.

If this is successful, and I have a feeling it will be, we might be seeing a lot of new "awesome" pony merchandise in the future. Fingers crossed!

Hasbro Releases EqG Mini Sunset Shimmer and Guardians of Harmony Pictures

Deep in the heart of the New York Toy Fair, Hasbro taunts us with live shots of their newest toys. Spike looks so cool as a big strong dragon, and the toy looks like it can shoot fire...the plastic molded kind. Also what's interesting is it includes a normal sized weyrling Spike; for size comparison obviously! What must Rarity think of him now?

AWESOME Song / Animation - Neigh Anything

Shining Armor and Cadance in luurve. This is based on their history in the comics at high school, and it's awesome. FritzyBeat teaming up with Melody Note and Sim Gretina is the BEST. I'd almost argue this is the best we've gotten this year yet!

Buried in the Toy Fair presentation was the official release time for Season 6 of My Little Pony. We knew Spring was the time to look at, but not the exact date! At around the one hour, four minute mark, a slide going into detail about their upcoming plans revealed a MAY 2016 Release date for season 6!

The Equestria Girls Mini Dance Party Set posted earlier now has a few official details. This set is based on the Fall Formal at Canterlot High, so nothing Legends of Everfree related. Regardless, it's coming in Fall of this year. Get the details below!

Emily Blunt Signed on for My Little Pony 2017 Movie

The My Little Pony movie has announced some pretty hefty talent today, with actress Emily Blunt being added to the already growing cast of characters that will appear.

We don't have any idea who exactly she will be voicing, but  considering her huge list of major blockbuster releases, it's going to be a big deal.

New Equestria Girls - Legends of Everfree Coming Fall 2016

Announced during Hasbro's Toy Fair pre-announcement event, the Legends of Everfree will be arriving in Fall of 2016 as a straight to TV Discovery Family release!

Extra infos:

• 10 Minutes will be released on Youtube before it goes up
• Netflix gets it before Discovery Family
• The theme is Equestrai Girls going to camp

Deadpool Really Likes Unicorns

We Are Borg back, with a weird one of everyone’s favorite 4th wall breaking non-pony. We are used to seeing pony references in movies and other television shows, from almost missed initials to entire show episodes parodying the Brony fandom. Even Hasbro themselves can’t help but throw some pone in its own movies like Transformers.

So it’s no surprise when the smart mouthed, mercenary in red gets his own slight pony reference...in the Deadpool-est way possible. The just released Deadpool movie features quite a few nerd culture references, and blatant Rated R content, but nothing combines the two quite like his stuffed unicorn.

Pony History of the Day: Rhythm is Magic

We highlighted the Rhythm is Magic series in our Blast From The Past posts some time back, but it's too good not to spotlight again in our Pony History series. A long time ago, before MysteryBen was known for his Mystery Skulls animation 'Ghost', Ben started a series of silly and very well animated shorts based on the game Rhythm Heaven!

The series proved to be so popular that a number of other animators also tried their hands at it, producing a number of rhythmic pony animations.
