Pony History of the Day: The -Licious Series

Tonight we've got another set of oldies for you guys to sink your teeth into! Many a meme were started back in the early days of pony, even by some of the staff. Back in early 2012, Tara Strong posted up a tweet parodying the song 'Fergalicious', a tweet that would set in motion one of the fandoms early memes.

Just a few days later Tara vocalized her parody using Twilight Sparkle's voice, furthering the spread of the early meme that culminated a few days after that in BlackGryphon's animated Twlightlicious video.

From there Black made a whole series of -Licious videos, finishing up his series in late 2012 with Applelicious. Since then the meme has been brought up every so often.

The meme permanently cemented itself into pony history when it was seen canonically in Pinkie Apple Pie!

Updated: Thanks to all of you who found the Rarity clip on Black's dA! I forgot about that one. Also didn't know about the Discord one and completely forgot about the line from Pinkie Apple Pie. All have been added to the list!

Crystal Empire Playset Also On the Way With New Cadance and Shining Armor Foal

Joining the update of Shining Armor and Cadances new foal revealed earlier today, we also have brand new playset for those collecting them dropping around the same time in September of this year. This is a German press release, so there is a chance it will be floating around elsewhere, along with the new pony, earlier.

(Updated) FontBros Site Acknowledges Use of Generation B Before Lawsuit

(UPDATE: It's looking like this is a secondary URL that shows the missing My Little Pony point. A different live one has the message on it. Thanks to the sleuthing of Richfiles, it turns out that the message can still be viewed here. Still, it seems like FontBros has known about the font usage for a long time at this point.)

Thanks to some sleuthing by pony fans this interesting tidbit of information has popped up! Before the lawsuit news broke, on the FontBros page for Generation B they had a line reading 'Generation B is one of the official fonts used in the TV series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic! Enjoy, my little Bronies!'

So apparently they have known that the font has been used for quite a long time so maybe it was only recently that they found out that the proper licenses weren't purchased. All we do know is that the line is no longer on their site and can only be found now using the Wayback Machine and other internet archive sources.

So what do you guys think?
