It looks like we're not the only ones excited about magical equines this year. In a news report from The Wall Street Journal and Fortune magazine unicorns are in and are expected to make huge gains this year as not only young girls, but young boys start to get into the craze.
The reason behind the surge? Friendship is Magic of course! Both articles cite our favorite little equines as being a major driving force into the surge of unicorn popularity. While last year was the year of the horse, this year is looking to be an even stronger year which can only mean good things for FiM! Even more importantly, it's great to see so many of the target demo, and young boys as well, getting into the show.

JohnPerry — Besides being a superb take on the Past Sins prompt, this story is just fun, plain and simple. Aquaman displays an excellent grasp on comedic timing and offers plenty of laugh out loud lines, but at the same time never loses sight of his characters, making this story surprisingly grounded for all its silliness. Anyone looking to write comedy should take note.

After a long four months of gathering submissions, the folks over at Overmare Studios have the results of their first contest related to their FoE game! With 55 submissions by 15 different artists, there was plenty of artwork to look at and the lucky winners will have their artwork accepted into the game!

A while back, we posted about a new set of cards that was releasing relatively soon according to Toywiz, but their February estimate has come and gone, and the Absolute Discord set was still nowhere in sight. We now have an official time-table for the release! The game shop events will take place on the 24th of April, with the full in store street date with booster packs and sets following on the 8th of May.
According to icv2, The Pre-Release event packs sent out will include:
- 84 booster packs (6 per player plus 12 for prizes,
- 12 Special Foil Cards (#Pf2 "Rainbow Dash’s Rainbow Crash")
- 12 Collectible Absolute Discord Buttons
- 12 Special Score Counters
- 2 Special Foil Cards for prizes (#Pf3 "Lord Tirek")
- 1 Absolute Discord prize playmat
- 2 posters, and 2 "Chaos Rules!" t-shirts.
The set as a whole will be clocking in at 200 new cards, with 12 a pack including 8 common, 3 uncommon, and 1 rare.
If you want to pre-order, Toywiz still lists a bunch of sets and decks available.

Midwest Brony Fest is eager to kick off one heck of a musical performance this May as they are proud to announce that both Michelle Creber and BlackGryph0n will be the convention's first act at their LOUDER concert!
I've had the pleasure of watching these two perform together last Christmas and if you can make it to Brony Fest you will not be disappointed!

It seems like just last week, we were bugging Jet Blue about ponies and giving them ridiculous cute mascots. American Airlines has hopped on, with a response over on Twitter. Apparently we can expect to see flights to Equestria open up, assuming Celestia and Luna approve it. Someone get a petition going? I want to go to ponyland.

I feel bad now. I actually only ordered Cadance. She will forever be separated from her Shiny Armor while taking residence in my house. I blame Funko though! How could you split these two up?!

This style works really well for Mane-iac! It's probably because she is a comic book villain which allows her to pull off the exaggerated cartoony look so well.
