Ponies just keep on happening for Miley Cyrus and her 14 million Instagram followers. In a swarm of books she recently bought, the The Elements of Harmony from a while back just happened to be one of them. Are we going to see an influx of Cyrus fans when she starts dropping Season 5 pics later this year? Prepare yourselves good pony internet denizens, it might just happen.

Winner for the Lauren Faust TOGM Auction Revealed - Charity Raises $4000 in Total

After some mishaps with a few of the higher tier bidders, we finally have a winner of the OC Contest run on The Old Gray Mare show.  TAFKAL up above is going to be drawn by Lauren Faust herself. With the open world of OC's out there and some of the insane colors potentially winning, I think we lucked out on this one. He's not bad at all.

Something cool happened earlier to go with it, when bidder AJNRules dropped an extra $350 just to see the auction hit that big 4k mark. Good stuff!

Expect a followup when the Tafkal up there is drawn!

Pony Bodypaint Invades Danish Reality Award Show

Header was causing some problems for people using our Apple App so everything is after the break.

Over at a Danish Reality Award show a few days ago, one of the adult actresses decided to show off a bit of ponyness via a full body painting job.  Our submitters, "The Danish Adonis" and Niels did a bit of translating for us from the article over here:

Nicole Brøggler, a semi-famous girl from various Danish reality shows and a newly debuted "adult Actress" (Google her name for more information on this), showed up to a Danish Reality Award show like this a couple of days ago, wearing nothing but body-paint and high heels, and with her hair colored like a certain purple librarian. On her chest is written "My Little Porno", and on her stomach is a somewhat sloppy drawing of Applejack. There is also a small sketch of Twilight on her back.

She does not give a reason for the Pony motif, other than she thought i would be fun.

I wonder what her pony name is? Should we run an event for that?

Applejack and Pinkie Pie Join Derpy as New Lip Balms

The mane 6 ponies might not have as big an impact as the fandom spawned Derpy Hooves when it comes to surprise at new merchandise lines, but lets celebrate them anyway.  Boston America has introduced a Buttercream Pinkie Pie themed balm with Applejack's Apple Pie flavor to go along with muffins. 

Similiar to Derpy, these will probably be at heavily specialized retailers for a while.  There is a chance we will see them hit the big box stores eventually though.

Discussion: Have You Ever Been Bullied or Picked On For Liking Ponies?

My Little Pony in general has always had a pretty big stigma associated with it.  I joke around all the time and say that the show would be twice as popular in the internet world if it was simply called ponies. While the 80's cartoon wasn't awful for it's time, it's still pretty heavily associated with pre-teen little girls.  Friendship is Magic has escaped this in the geek sphere, but outside of it we are still an enigma.

So, good fans of cartoon equines, how has pony treated you in the real world? Have you ever been picked on for liking ponies by your friends, relatives, or random people at school or work? Or do you hide it and make sure no one ever finds out?

Hit up the comments with your story! Maybe we can get a section going on how to seek help if it gets worst in the future.  My best advice would be to hit up that meetup map and make some local likeminded friends.

Youtube Reviewer MrEnter Suspended on Youtube

We've been receiving a lot of emails about the suspension of MrEnter, a popular Youtube reviewer and analyst, thanks to copyright claims by Viacom. While he does review and analyze a large number of topics he has also reviewed quite a bit of pony as well!

With popular pony analysts such as DrWolf and Silver Quill responding to the take down it highlights a scary reality that all it takes is a big company to just WANT you gone; no real evidence required. Hopefully MrEnter will be able to get his channel back in the near future (and that this doesn't hurt any of our pony analysts as well), but until then you can find him on DailyMotion and catch updates on his deviantArt account.

Hasbro Running Yet Another Conference Call in February - Here's to Hoping for a Season 5 Release Date!

Once again, Hasbro has announced a live webcast for Q4 of 2014. Considering last time around we got an entire pony movie out of it, there is a good chance we will see something significant this time too. 

The event is set for the 9th of February.  Keep those fingers crossed! Expect us to report the hell out of it, as always.
