• Comic: The Chronicles of Equestria / Lyra Meteor Shower Guide / HoneyMOON

That first one is really neat, but make sure you hit the "download image" button on the side for the full version.

We also have Lyra explaining astronomy, because ponies make science fun, and  Celestia being ridiculous.  Check those out below!

  • Royal Wedding Event From Modern Mom

During that Royal Wedding event in Culver City a few days ago, they brought Brooke Burke from Modern Mom and Dancing with the Stars to replace Tori Spelling for the day.   It looks like they are way into it, and running a full on Twitter party this Thursday!

If you want to join in, all you need to do is follow ModernMom, and and toss a #ponywedding out between 1-2:00 PM PST on the 19th of April.  Everyone that joins is entered to win one of 6 My Little Pony Prize Packs, which include a Friendship Express train set and a few other goodies.  The grand prize will receive is a Sony Bloggie

Check out their website here for status updates over the next few days!
  • Los Angeles Times Festival of Books - Meghan McCarthy and Tara Strong

Over in Los Angeles, the annual festival of books is coming up on April 21st to the 22nd.  It seems like every event has ponies at this point, because Meghan McCarthy and Tara Strong are signed on for a 1:00 PM School for Cinematic Arts panel.  Have some copy paste for details:
“Read it and Weep” Episode of “My Little Pony:
Friendship is Magic” presented by The Hub TV Network
Q & A to follow with showrunner Meghan McCarthy and actor Tara Strong, voice of Twilight Sparkle, Interviewed by Dawn C. Chmielewski (Panel 2152)
    Located in the Broccoli Theater
What better way to promote the written word than Read it and Weep? That episode has to have some form of subliminal message, because I ran straight to the nearest epic length Trixie fanfic and blew two hours right after watching it.

Anyway, check the entire schedule for the event out here!

Update: Sounds like the LA Brony group already snagged the tickets! Hope you guys can find some!
  • My Little Pony Project 2012 Los Angeles

We were going to wait for a press release on this one, but they have tossed enough information up on the Facebook page to get a good idea of it.

My Little Pony Project is a worldwide pony celebration. There are quite a few events listed for the LA area in May, I'll drop those below:
This special exhibition launches in Los Angeles on May 5, 2012 at Toy Art Gallery and will showcase the MY LITTLE PONY Project charity ponies, 18" MY LITTLE PONY figures designed by international fine artists, and MY LITTLE PONY pop-up shop by WeLoveFine. Select shops from Toy Art Gallery to JapanLA, Joyrich, Munky King, and more will host secret pony items, turning Melrose Avenue into "MY LITTLE PONY Avenue". Please join us in celebrating the world of MY LITTLE PONY.
This appears to be the big opening of the project. I wonder what secret pony items will be available?
    May 12th, 2012 : 12noon - 3pm
MY LITTLE PONY: Friendship Is Magic screening and  panel with the voice actors. Ticket information is coming soon.
We actually received an invitation with these listed on them at the Royal Wedding party a few days ago, and the blurb above definitely piqued our curiosity. I wonder what episode they will be airing? Maybe a sneak peak at season three? Who knows! Speculation time!
    May 12th, 2012 : 5pm - 8pm
MY LITTLE PONY: Friendship Is Magic autograph poster signing and meet & greet at Toy Art Gallery. This is a free event.
I bet a ton of you would love to hit that one up. Hopefully the press release reveals who exactly will be attending these signings and panels!
    May 19th, 2012: 1pm - 5pm
    MY LITTLE PONY Family Day
Watch MY LITTLE PONY: Friendship Is Magic with our pony artists, get your face painted, and eat ponyful cupcakes. This is a free event.
As for the actual "Worldwide" aspect, it sounds like this will be visiting various countries, though only Japan is listed as outside the US.

Check out the Facebook page here for addresses and involvement.

    And Sweet Street's page here.

  • Drawfriend Stuff #397

We haven't had a Rarity edition in forever.  The poor girl seems to have faded away after her big Sweet and Elite episode.

The blogger slowdown should be fixed soonish.  The help forums are being bombarded, and the engineers are looking into it.  Until then, ctrl+click!

  • Discussion: The Most Important Friendship Lessons for Adults

And as Lyra watched the portal to Humania close, a single tear trickled down her cheek. Her time there had been brief, but she knew it would change her life forever...

Huh? Oh, hi there! Didn't see you come in. I was just... uh... you know what, it's not important. Welcome!  We recently came across this LA Weekly article going through the first two seasons of FiM and listing the top 5 friendship lessons by importance for adults to learn/relearn. It's pretty neat to get that kind of perspective, and our glorious blog overlord asked me to show it to you last night as late-breaking news. Now, I'm not saying I got lazy and fell asleep because this is a serious journalist organization and that kind of nonsense doesn't fly at Equestria Daily, but I really needed to finish my Lyra fanfic take care of something really important, so you're getting this now instead.

This is a pretty well thought out article, but lessons in the magic of friendship are, as everything else, a matter of perspective. So what's yours? Tell us all about the lessons ponies have at least given you a refresher course on, the episodes that remind you of your friends, and the things that you have taken away from your viewings that have surprised or inspired you. Fillies and gentlecolts, friendship awaits!
  • Pony Ads on Youtube: Ponies on PetTV?

In a stunning development undermining years of scientific research, the supreme court has ruled that magical talking ponies are pets, and not eligible for citizenship and full rights despite being sentient and fully capable of displaying the full range of intelligence, thoughts, and self awareness as human beings. Celestia was unavailable for comment, with a guard adding it was "probably better that we don't talk to her now." Resident glass half full expert Pinkie Pie had this to say: "It sounds like fun! If I'm a pony that's a pet, I can have pony pet play dates even when I'm by myself!" She then proceeded to wave at what looked alarmingly like another Pinkie. More on this as it develops.

In other news, Hasbro has put up a pair of videos containing clips from Seasons 1 and 2 on youtube, which have reportedly been seen as video ads playing on the popular video sharing site's adsense service. "Starring your favorite pets", these ads continue to spread awareness of pony and provide that first taste of music and colorful equine frendship to all of those too entrenched in their Let's Plays, music videos, and cats-in-boxes to notice them. Check below the break and see the ads for yourself!
  • Celestia, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie Teatime Set on TaoBao

It looks like Toys R' Us is getting yet another exclusive, though this one looks to be less focused on us, and more on the little girls that want pink Celestia market!   This is also part of the new Pony Friends Forever toyline, though not much information is known about what exactly that entails.

Check out the store page on Taobao.

Thanks to ace reporter Whatshisgame for the heads up, and Hathorcat on MLP Arena for the images.

  • Doctor Whooves Adventures: New Short / Always Faithful Comic / Doctor and Ditzy

Those crazy people over on the Doctor Whooves Adventures staff have pumped out yet another audio story for you all to listen to while getting RIPPED at the gym.  They also gave me some copy paste:
Ponyinabox has come out with a new short, Goodnight Goodnight. It was a surprise, broadcast live over Celestia Radio, for their lead voice actress Lauren Goodnight who is currently recovering from PKR surgery. They send their thanks to all who listen and help her to a speedy recovery! All the best from the Ponyinabox crew!
We also have a slideshow version of that Twilight Sparkle / Celestia comic from a few days ago as a bonus for those that want some sad to go with your lols.

And I like sandwiching things, so have some comedy to follow with more Doctor and Ditzy!

Check them all after the break!
