[Grimdark][Shipping] I usually avoid Grimdark like the plague, but due to reasons completely out of my control, I gave it a shot anyway. I was completely hooked after just two chapters, and the nightly roundup ended up an hour late because of it! This story is just straight up awesome. Anyway have a pre-reader quote too!

ReplyDeleteHm... Fillystata was kinda good but ending was simply bad... Story #1 is finished so /care about spoilers: After Twi's death I can't really imagine how it could be lead in any interesting direction.

ReplyDeleteTwilight shows up in the sequel, and may have an important part to play there as well. Of course if you didn't like the ending of the first story then the genre may not be for you.
With all these fellow Sir Terry Pratchet fans recommending it, I certainly know what I'm reading tonight n.n

Do note that an Upheaval chapter is but a tiny fraction of the length of a FO:E chapter.

ReplyDeleteIt's only a matter of time before Miss Susan shows up. She'll either feel something's amiss, The Death of Rats and Quoth drag her into the situation, or Pinkie Sense will go off while on a routine harvest and lead Pinkie Pie to Death's adopted grandaugther.
ReplyDeleteI know that the Auditors said that they sealed off the way to Equestria but I know of a young witch who could help with that. Specificly, a bunch of someones that the young witch knows. A buch of someones who can go anywhere and get out of anything. Except pubs.
just read upheaval, awesome story, deserves to be an graphic novel, heck why not a full on animated show, like an adult MLP, with the same art style, but also gory, that would be SO awesome I would give money to see upheaval turned into a show
