Hmm, second one's not bad at all. The voice in the background is just about the right volume, and it's quite relaxing. I dunno if I'd listen to it on a regular basis or anything, but it's nice.
ReplyDeleteLiked the guitar on #1, not entirely enamored with the Halo-esque choral parts (they're a bit overbearing, and maybe overwrought, too). Also couldn't tell how it was pony-related, but that's not really a concern.
#3 is good. It's the billionth time I've heard that tune, but it's still enjoyable, although this one sounded pretty badass.
ReplyDelete#2 is long. Lemme see. I like the sound, but the lyrics are a bit alien, considering the tune. And it got a bit repetitive as well.
#3 was cool, just anther of the, "Avast," set.

#1 I'd decided recently to just shut myself up when the music of one of these doesn't directly relate to ponies, as I did for #2 as I could picture it being played as the moon rises, but #1 I can't imagine being played in any scenario seen in the show, as there are no arctic-tundras to be found(none that are canon anyways).

ReplyDeleteReally love Moonrise Over Equestria. It's so calming and peaceful. Only issue is that I felt the quote from Spark could've been a little louder, the first part of it is a little hard to hear.

ReplyDeleteJust realized that Moonrise over Equestria is the perfect song to play when reading a sad fanfic. Decided to read Growing Up, where Spike remembers his time with the others while they were alive. Reading it alone is one thing, reading it with the music is a whole new level of sadness, closest I got to crying in 3 years.
