Cracked Posts Ponies, Again!
This popped up in their recent "If You Really Didn't Care What Tour Co-Workers Thought" event. Have you guys told your co-workers about ponies yet?
This is the 3rd time ponies have popped up on Cracked. I'm pretty sure one of the judges for this stuff is a brony.

Flutter Valley G1 Rebuilding
Technically G1 is where pony started, and some of the old pony folks want to coach us newbs on it. This website is trying to close the gaps between the old stuff and Friendship is Magic. I guess there are quite a few throwbacks in there that most never really noticed.

The "Chillin With Chell" contest over on Kotaku.com tasked a bunch of photoshop artists with dropping portal references into various backdrops. You can find Pinkie Pie's winning entry here!
OC Blind Bag Custom Pony Ponychan Contest
Xanthestar over on ponychan is holding a contest to convert your OC pony idea into a blindbag custom.
Winners will be chosen at random. All you have to do is toss your concept into the mix by posting the colors/type/ect into the thread!

Drawball Wars Day #5
Over at Drawball2, a truce is in the works between the two warring factions: Kongregate and the Brony Armada. Currently the bronies are attempting to draw a Kongregate flag on the Great and Powerful Trixie (who WAS wearing sunglasses, and being even more amazing because of it).

Rarity is barely visible on that drawball, at least trixie and a few small ponies are still visible though

ReplyDeleteG1!? I grew up in the Eighties with three sisters, I have absolutely no interest in any generation other than FiM thank you very much. All of My Little Pony before FiM is a byword for revolting girlie crap. I did check out the G1 movie a few months ago to see if there was any connection with FiM, and all I found was Spike. Though the ooze song was admittedly funky.

It angers me that people would dare to deface the great and powerful Trixie on drawball >.< using up all my ink for the magic of FRIENDSHIP!

I was expecting Octavia. Not that Twilight is bad and all but I just prefer Octavia better because sometimes I tend to like minor characters more than major ones. Also because Octavia looks badass.

ReplyDeleteIt may be the fact that I just got of one of the longest work weeks I have had to put up with in a while, but that "Flutter valley G1" thing looks off. From what I gather from the linked site, it looks more like a low quality, self insert fanfic made by a young kid. I'm not claiming to be an expert on G1, but I doubt that there was a human who lost family to cancer and then gets a sword. God, that looks painfully stupid.

Ponychan has made friends with two well-known hate-machine sites, the Off-Topic section on Kongregates forums and the french group 15-18.

Friendship is magic!
Also, the french guys will be making a flag covering the entire drawball today so it's probably not a good idea to interfere with it.

The G1 thing is....interesting. I don't really have any interest with anything that came before this series but it is interesting to see what it was like without having to watch it. That may sound like me being lazy but I didn't grow up with it so there is no reason for me to subject myself to it. Also does anyone feel that the name is a reference to Neon Genesis Evangelion? It might be just me.

ReplyDeleteIt's pretty obvious at my workplace. I have a 2ftx2ft Fluttershy LEGO mural on my cubicle wall, I use FLP sticky notes for all work notes that I hand to people, and the other 4 Bronies at work and I often hang around my desk at talk about MLP.
Yeah, best workplace ever :)
@Anonymousthe "frenchies" are allied with us, it's just that some didn't understand the plan but the general idea was that they would avoid Trixie anyway. They are a lot of people too and quite organized (with lots of area filling bots and restarting routers for renewed ink).

ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm a member of Kongregate - Off-Topic. A lot of bronies, including me, are there and we don't want Trixie to be erased. There are some aggressive anti-bronies too, and they want Trixie gone - I don't think they would accept a truce.
And I'm glad that the French guys left Trixie as I had hoped.
You know, the thread in /oat/ told me that the sunglasses I added was a bad idea.
