Translated fanfics are hard to search but actually all over the place! Now you can find a bunch of them and contribute your own. The admin, Frith, has put a ton of work into getting it all set up and easy to navigate.
Head on down below for a press release to learn all about it!
Press Release:
I created a group on FiMFiction designed to link the English language
stories published there to versions translated into other languages. The
group, called Found in Translation, is meant as a resource for the larger, worldwide
community, a reference library linking individual FiMFiction stories to
the scattered fanfiction archives where those stories have been
translated. My intention is to make it easier for people to find
translations in their native language, to show the global reach of
fanfiction, to encourage networking and to satisfy everyone's values
through friendship and ponies.
FiMFiction contains 160,580 stories. That's 2,763,290,850 words. If you
were to read all it, non-stop, it would take you 1,096 weeks. There is
no easy way of finding stories published on FiMFiction that have been
translated. Of the stories that have been translated, most do not say so
in the story summary or teaser. Found in Translation changes that. It is
a language-specific reference library with over 700 stories in the
folders and with a forum where the links to the translations are given.
Many of the stories are entire books, like Anthropology (translated into
Spanish, Korean, Italian and Ukrainian), Fallout Equestria (translated
into Spanish and Italian) and Hard Reset (translated into Spanish,
Russian and French). Most are fan favorites. There are only 12 languages
to choose from right now, but more languages will be added as they are
found. As more members join and contribute links, the additions should
accelerate.
Come on down to

some translated fanfiction and polish your language comprehension skills.
The world is multi-lingual and so is the Pony fandom. Let's party!
Frith,
Administrator
