Youtube recently demonetized the Ponies in Real Life animator StormXF3 for "harmful content involving minors" of all things. Most thought this was surely an error, but after creating an appeal video it was auto rejected, and even after dealing with an actual Youtube Partner manager, they still marked the channel as ineligible for monetization after 3 weeks of deliberation.
The cause was apparently "violence involving cartoon characters" of all things. Which is bizarre since Storm's videos are probably some of the least violent out there. After implementing a few edits and blurs to their existing work, they still were rejected.
I guess this once again puts pony videos on Youtube in the crosshairs again for weird Youtube rules. Considering we some some pretty explosive combat in the actual show, I wonder what crazy limit they have there now at Youtube? You can find Storm's write-up below.
