Derpibooru launched today, replacing Ponibooru. And on the animation front, we got this amazing animatic for the upcoming Children of the Night animation. Unfortunately it's gone, but you can check out the animation on youtube anyway.

Funrise broke into the background pony game with Octavia today. Spaghetti mane collectors everywhere rejoiced!
2014
Equestria Girls went straight for that Monster High throat with a goth lineup of dolls.
And for the people that preferred >hooves, we got a Photo Finish brushable reveal too.
2015
The New York Times fell for a fake story saying a mass murderer was a brony today, publishing it for all the world to see. Unfortunately it did become reality years later with the Applejack one, but we don't talk about him.
And Pinkie Pie became a chicken for SDCC!
2016
The Season posters were a big part of the early fandom, with conventions from SDCC to BronyCon giving them out as special promos to attendees.
