A new full animation is in progress from an animator going by the name of Phoeberia over on Youtube. This is the first rough draft animatic for what we are expecting to see.

Someone named Fábio saw that I was looking for ideas to make the Patreon better over in the s9 post, and brought up an interesting idea that we can actually implement!
The "Credit" tier has been completely replaced by a new "OC Hall of Fame" section, where supporters can have their OC's and name added to a gallery that is already added as a button on our desktop version side bar (Image above). This is for all tiers above $2.
If you are a current supporter and want yours added, send it to [email protected] with your Patreon name (so we can verify), or send it directly to our Patreon Page by messaging us over there. All we need is:
- Picture of your OC
- Your Patreon name
- Name you want to be called on the page
EQD Rewards will still kick in on the first of the month due to Patreon's charging schedule, so if you join now, we can add it on March 1st.
I've also cleaned up all the tiers a bit. Rewards for most include all lower price tiers, minus the fandom/con ads.
I'm still looking for new good ideas. If you have any, feel free to let us know!

Since so much has changed already, there are no guarantees that G5 will even be a different form of the mane 6. We might very well be getting a completely new set of ponies, in an obviously completely new style.
Why not celebrate our new future by drawing some pones we want to see added? Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to draw a pony, or a cast of ponies, for the 2021 My Little Pony movie that will introduce us to the new generation.
How you want to do that is up to you. They can be current ponies in a new form, brand new characters straight from your brain, or maybe G5 invited a minotaur and zebra to the cast? Your imagination is the only limiter!
As with the last event, send a Deviant Art, Twitter, or Tumblr link to [email protected] and subject the email with G5 EVENT.
ALL skill levels are welcome. If a stick figure is all you can do, then maybe G5 is a stick figure pony thing.

You've all seen the news by now. Season 9 has officially been confirmed as the final season of Friendship is Magic. While Hasbro does have plans to continue things after the fact in other, un-announced ways (possibly with the mane 6 and friends), the actual nine year running series will be ending.
Will Equestria Daily be closing it's doors after season 9 ends?
Is everything collapsing?
Is the end of the ride officially sitting out there somewhere in 2019?

It might be fun to go through all the show staffers and see what they are saying now that the news has broke about the end of Gen 4. I think I'll make that a project today.
