My Little Pony Comic Releasing in Japan!

It feels like forever since we've seen any news out of Japan when it comes to their official pony lineup stuff. The Manga released ages ago back in 2014, and was largely taken over by small fan groups creating offshoots. But now the IDW comics are getting a translated release in Japan was well! The My Little Pony Japanese Twitter page released this image of the cover, along with a big message about it.

Their translated message:

Translations of "my little pony" is finally here! Not only it's cute! Maine 6, CMC is a big success, the return of the Queen Chrysalis is a complete action blockbuster. Limited quantity cover version by Akira Himekawa, popular Illustrator are also available! 1,800 yen + tax 10/2017 7th on sale!  

Here's to hoping we can get a hold of it once it releases in October. That style was ridiculously cute.

Brony Mexi Con Will Continue Despite Recent Earthquakes

The team over at Brony Mexi Con has announced that plans are still 100% on for their event on the 23rd of September. The venue was fortunately undamaged by the earthquakes that hit earlier this week.

A roughly Google translated presser can be found below. They also plan to collect food and money for victims of the quakes. Head on down below for both of those.

Awesome Acoustic Pop Music: 4EverfreeBrony - Silhouette (feat. Black Gryph0n)

4EverfreeBrony has been releasing some pretty big collaborations recently! Here, Black Gryph0n lends his voice to a fantastic instrumental, with a great pop-y vibe throughout the track. The chorus especially is super catchy, with the lyrics based around 'Magical Mystery Cure'. This track is available on 4Everfree's 'Silhouette Games' album, or you can catch it via the recently released pre-order of Ponies At Dawn's new album, Anthology, which will be free on release. America's Got Talent Special MLP Movie Sneak Peak

During America's Got Talent, a show my mother watches obsessively (and so do I. I hope the puppet girl wins) we got a 1 minute sneak peak of the movie! There appears to be a couple new scenes in there but it's mostly stuff we've seen before. Still, a nice advertisement during a show that gets pretty high ratings!

Sia's "Rainbow" Already Breaks A Million Views and Counting

 
Advertising for the MLP movie may have been a bit light these past few months, but Hasbro's big hitters were just waiting to come out. Sia's VEVO Youtube channel is massive, and "Rainbow" has already started trending hardcore with tens of thousands of views an hour.

Amazingly enough, very few dislikes have happened which is usually the issue with pony videos on non-pony channels. Either that or they are being flooded by 92k likes its already acquired since popping up. Good stuff! Here's hoping this one reaches chandelier levels. Just 1.5 billion to go!

IDW My Little Pony Comic Sales—August 2017

Only two My Little Pony Comics were published by IDW Publishing in August 2017. Apparently Pinkie Pie becoming the Lady of Chaos was more than enough pony for the month!

…either that or IDW was trying to make sure Somnambula's Legend of Magic issue came out relatively close to the premiere of "Daring Done" so we didn't end up in the situation we got with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic #58 dropping some heavy spoilers for "A Health of Information."

Or maybe there was a simple shipping delay which caused Legends of Magic to get pushed back a month. Who knows!

I apologize for being a little late with getting the estimated sales to comic shops figures up on EQD. I've been working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week since HASCON, so I wasn't able to make the time to put the post together. Anyways, be sure to check out after the break to see how 2 MLP Comic Titles faired against a weekly TMNT Event Series!

HASCON Exclusives Added to Hasbro Toy Shop

Hasbro Toy Shop has now listed all of their HASCON exclusive items for sale. Unfortunately this only includes a single pony item, the Dungeons and Dragons dice set for $20. You can check out a full listing of everything over here regardless though.

My Little Pony Gameloft Game Adds Augmented Reality Update

With the movie right around the corner, the My Little Pony game continues to flood a bunch of updates out in preparation for it. As of a few hours ago, their most recent Augmented Reality patch has been added, which allows you to project the models from the game into the real world.

At the moment, they are only showing it available in iOS 11. Hopefully it migrates elsewhere soon. In comments to people asking about it, they noted that they are waiting on Google Play to unlock features like this.

You know, by the time this issue is out, the season 7 finale will have been out over nearly two months. However, IDW is playing it vague with this issue's description.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic #61 Revealed—Synposis, Artists, and Writer!

After seeing Andy's cover for Friendship is Magic first hand at HASCON, it's still neat to see it completed and in high resolution!

Solicitations are out for the MLP Comic offerings from IDW Publishing! So just what is going to happen at this "United Nations" of The Pony World?

Hopefully something which actually names the planet they are.

As to why these weren't out yesterday… it completely slipped my mind after working a 12 hour day. Sorry our readers here at Equestria Daily, and to our friends at IDW Publishing! Completely my fault!

Next US Happy Meals - My Little Pony Toys Return

The My Little Pony lineup is returning to McDonalds for October along with Transformers. This time around, we get masks and ponies for Rainbow, Pinkie, Twilight, and Rarity. They look pretty similiar to the last round, but the movie branding might do something for them.
