Dubstep Music: Suskii - Fate Of Equestria / GROskAr - Last Stand

Some heavy wub wubs here, with Suskii and GROskAr bring it hard! First up Suskii's Fate Of Equestria, focused on Twilight and Starlight Glimmer's interactions in the wasteland, brings some awesome sound design wrapped up in some nice eerie melodies and vocals from the episode in question. In the second slot, GROskAr pushes it about as heavy as it gets with some crazy aggressive sound design and battle-style horns. There's some great orchestral influences towards the end of the track especially too. Check them both out below the break!

INTERVIEW: Penumbra Quill Sheds Some Light on Ponyville's Mysteries

Well folks we have got a big surprise for you tonight! Ahead of the July 3rd Release of the first two My Little Pony: Ponyville Mysteries Equestria Daily has an interview with the author of the series! That's right folks we got an interview with the world famous novelist, Penumbra Quill!

Our ace Equestria Reporter, Italic Quip, made his way from our EQD Offices in Manehatten to Ponyville to interview Penumbra about her upcoming series. They discuss Penumbra's early literary career, what it's like to live so close to the Everfree Forest, and most importantly of all what it was like getting to know the Cutie Mark Crusaders for this book series!

It's not often we hear such epic trance in the fandom, but here John Kenza (formerly known as Kadenza) has brought us a fantastic piece inspired by Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon that initially showcases some awesome progressive trance vibes as it builds up to a glorious arpeggiated first drop, before turning the tables 5 and a half minutes in with a much darker neuro-styled drop that distorts the melodies from the initial half. Initial Panels Announced for Hascon Include MLP: FiM Season 8 Premiere First Look and Sneak Preview of The Movie!

Hasbro decided the perfect way to celebrate 2017 being halfway over was to announced their initial Panel Schedule for Hascon today. As expected there are a bunch of My Little Pony Panels scheduled throughout the three days of the convention—and I'm sure there is going to be more added as we march ever closer to September 8th. However there was one item that was not expected.

Namely a First Look at the Season 8 Premiere Episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic!

You'll be able to check out what is currently scheduled for MLP at Hascon after the break!

MORE Movie Footage - German My Little Pony Movie Trailer Has Extra Scenes!

Here is something completely unexpected. The German version of the My Little Pony movie Trailer has a whole bunch of different scenes we didn't see in the English one. It axes a few and replaces them with new stuff. Things are about to get crazy if this trend continues! I wonder if any other countries are going to get this kind of treatment?

Electro Pop/Rock Music: Flittzy - You And I / Donn DeVore - Winsome Falls

Some really awesome vocal music here from Flittzy and Donn DeVore! If you're keen on music that tells awesome stories about characters from the show through voice, these are some good songs to check out! First up is Flittzy's beautiful tune about Twilight Sparkle and Luna, where the vocals are impactful and thoroughly enjoyable throughout the song, and well carried along by some solid electronic sounds and good use of guitar. The second track is a new one from Donn DeVore about going camping with some of the mane 6 at Winsome Falls, and has a super cool mixture of indie rock vibes and electronic undertones supported very well by Donn's excellent vocals. Check them both out below the break!

An interesting little site has been set up that lets you specifically target scenes from the trailer to transform into GIFs. They have time allotments from 1 second to 3, with the ability to shift around by .1 second to get that perfect scene. Or Twilight getting smashed by a cake.

Hybrid Electronic Music: Xavi - Blitz Em [Future Dubstep] / syzygy. - In The Night [Hybrid Trap]

Some really cool and unique music here, in terms of what normally comes out of the fandom! First up Xavi combines his usual kawaii future flair with some awesome dubstep bass design, in a combination that just works so much better than one would think. In the second track, syzygy. showcases some incredible trap sound design and awesome use of some vocals too. The use of dissonance throughout the track is spot on. Check them both out below!

Discussion: Would You Watch a Generation 5 in Movie Art Style?

We finally got to see what the My Little Pony movie animated looks like, and there is no denying that the style, at least int he faces, is much different than G4. This kinda brings on an interesting question; would you watch a series like this? If G5 was announced as airing after season 8, is this an acceptable way to do it for you?

Majestic Melodic Dubstep: L.M. - New Start

L.M.'s production is off the charts, and like he's showcased in the past with incredible tracks like Eve and Together, he's able to put together incredible melodic progressions and combine them with fantastic sound design throughout. This track is full of beautiful chords, frantic vocal chops and super clean dubstep sounds throughout. There's even some more future bass/jersey-oriented progressions towards the end of the track. Give it a listen below the break!

MLP Movie Spotlit on Entertainment Tonight

The MLP Movie got a brief spot on Entertainment Tonightf (ET) yesterday just in time for the release of the trailer. It doesn't appear to reveal any new information but it's always cool to see that Hasbro is really marketing this thing!

3,700 Piece LEGO Rainbow Dash!

A Rainbow Dash LEGO sculpture has been designed and built by Oilyvalves over on Deviant Art. A whopping 3700 parts make up her construction, with over a year of work going into designing and building her. Apparently she will be up on display from the 1st to the 2nd of July at "Bricktastic" in Manchester, UK this year.

MLP Movie Confirmed to be 99 Minutes Long, Possible New Movie Pictures Revealed

Yet some more news about the movie! Some of you have been asking how long it is going to be in the comments and now we have an answer. According to a Lionsgate fact sheet it will be 99 minutes long, about the standard for animated features.

There's also quite a few images on the site as well that I don't think we've seen yet in the trailer or elsewhere, but I could be wrong so I'll be including what looks new just in case.

Looks like they were in the trailer except for two though there seems to be a little debate whether they are new or not! With so much packed in there it's hard to remember everything. Still, get the link to the image source after the break along with the one new pic we have! Thanks to everyone for helping clarify what was new or not in the comments.

A Third MLP Movie Trailer is on The Way!

According to the German movie rating agency, FSK, which gave us all a heads up concerning the trailer we received yesterday, there is another preview on the way! This one only clocks in at at a little more than a minute long, but I'm sure it will have a bunch of goodies in it.

Not only has the FSK confirmed that a third trailer is coming, but German trailer site 'TrailerLoop' has as well!

Electronic Music: Viricide Filly - Back From Reality [Album] / Ataraxia - Lightheaded (feat. Ink Sparks) [Electro Pop]

Some pretty cool stuff here from Viricide and Ataraxia! First up is Viricide Filly's new album, Back From Reality, which you can find on Bandcamp here. It's full of really cool tunes in genres like house, UK garage and breakbeat, all threaded together into a story conveyed both through the instrumentation and through consistent use of synthesised vocals and awesome vocal chopping. Ataraxia's tune is another new one from his recently released album Motion Reimagined, and Ink Sparks' vocals take centre stage throughout, supported excellently by a pared back instrumental and some background vocal hits. Awesome Orchestral Music: Radiarc - Kyrie / Radiarc - Carry On

Radiarc has been kind enough to bless us with a double feature of incredible orchestral tunes! These tracks are very different from each other, but equally showcase just how good Radiarc is at what he does. Kyrie is an amazing Daybreaker-themed hybrid of orchestral with neuro-style bass influences, full of powerful vocal chants, high tension strings and frantic percussion. If ever the solar empire needed a battle theme, this would be it! The second track is a much more solemn piece that dwells more on the emotive eerie and sombre atmosphere he's able to draw out of piano, strings and other instruments. Check out both pieces below!

Toys R' Us Launches My Little Pony Mega Mystery Power Box

Toys R' Us seems to be looking to offload some old merchandise. A new My Little Pony Mega Mystery Box has been stocked with the following items included:

• 4 Mysery Packs (blindbag?) 
• And More. 

It's a mish-mash of pretty much everyone, from IDW to Funko.

Clean, gorgeous vocals, top notch production and some super cool vocal chops all combine here to make honestly one of my favourite songs of the year. DJT and ThatMusicBrony consistently impress with the level of quality of their music, and it just gets higher every time! Drumstep Music: bank pain - Breaking Of Dawn / Crystarium & R3CTIFIER - Scimitar

Sound design is front and centre in these two awesome tracks. First up, bank pain showcases just what you can do with a track when you have a clear inspirational idea in mind. Based upon JawJoe's fanfic 'Monsters', the track has a heavy neuro-style drop before the advent of dawn later in the piece is signalled by some gorgeous use of consistent bass presence and soft plucks. The second track from Crystarium & R3CTIFIER combines some great arabian compositional flavour with aggressive screechy sound design throughout the drops. Check them both out below the break!

INTERVIEW: Writers Mike Vogel and Nicole Dubuc Drop Some Clues on Ponyville Mysteries!

I know a lot of our readers are eagerly awaiting the release of My Little Pony: Coloring Harmony: Dazzling Designs from Equestria next week on July 4th—and after picking up the book at BookCon for the premiere release I cannot blame them, the book is awesome. However, Little Brown is launching a new MLP Chapter Book series literally one day before that!

My Little Pony: Ponyville Mysteries is a series of chapter books written by Mike Vogel and Nicole Dubuc which focus on the Scooby-Doo like shenanigans Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo get up to. I had no idea those three where detectives. Then again, when considering all the fields of study they practiced while earning their cutie marks they probably learned transferable skills.

To help celebrate the upcoming releases, Equestria Daily had the honor of interviewing co-authors Mike Vogel and Nicole Dubuc about the book series! There was much laughter to be had as these two chatted about the books, how they both got involved with MLP, and what might end up happening if A.K. Yearling ever met Penumbra Quill.

The world of Go-Karting just got ponified. This Rainbow Dash themed machine up above was crafted by a group of bronies interested in bringing pony to their hobby. Apparently it placed 2nd in open class, so it's a lot more than just pretty Rainbow Dash colors.
