Alicorn Princess Blast Team Releases New Update

We haven't heard from the Alicorn Princess Blast game project by The Gaming Colts for quite a long time, but apparently things are moving along with the team and they have an update to share with you guys, including that the game has reached alpha.

Newbie Artist Training Grounds VI: Day 28

Eww, now that is really pushing boundaries. It looks like Rainbow died a little inside hearing that.

Good evening once again my friends! It's time for yet another day of the ATG with just a few more days left till your graduation celebration. All I can say is that I hope you've found this experience enlightening, challenging and fun and that you'll take what you've learned here to pursue further challenges in the realm of art!

Tonight we've got an additional 102 ponies to add to the pony pile, bringing our total up to 5246 ponies! Just a few hundred more till we break that 5500 mark everyone. You all can do it!

For tonight I figured I'd give you guys a pretty unique prompt that I hope you'll have fun with. Considering all the danger and adventure our ponies have I figured why not have our prompt be drawing a pony daredevil/drawing a pony living on the edge. I'm really curious to see what you budding artists can come up with for this one. Music: Trixent - Get Dirty [Drum & Bass]

Trixent's been around the fandom for quite some time, but only recently started to release their own music. The wait has evidently been worth it though, as they've followed up their first release last month with this mesmerising drum & bass track that rolls along very smoothly, with some really nice use of vocal samples and some strong drum fills. 

Sunset Shimmer Day on September 22!

It's not just time to celebrate New York's Fashion Week with Rarity Day, but another more celestial event is also on the horizon. That's right guys, the Autumnal Equinox on September 22 is approaching heralding in the beginning of Fall which seemed like a perfect opportunity for Sunset Shimmer Day!

Even though she came to be through Equestria Girls, thanks to the subsequent movies and her redemption she has become a fan favorite of many. As pretty much the defacto leader now of the human main six she deserves some recognition.

As with Rarity Day, please send all your favorite Sunset Shimmer related creations of yours or others to [email protected] with the subject 'Sunset Shimmer Day' followed by the type of material you are sending in.

2014! - THE GREAT RECOVERY.

Few were prepared for the bombshell of Twilacorn and Equestria Girls turning all the ponies into humans, but we slowly recovered, and many people found things to love in both areas. Some still aren't too keen on EG or Princess Twily, but for the most part the remaining fandom and especially the kids on Youtube seem alright with it.

Music: Electro-Blitz & Zwamtek - Happy After All [House]

A really awesome high lead synth, excitable, happy strings, and best of all, those vocal samples - this track is really bouncy and fun, and harks back to the past in the overall way it sounds. That might be because it was apparently initially produced a couple of years ago, but only now has come to see the light of a public release. If happy uplifting Pinkie Pie-style stuff is your jam, you'll love this, and even if it isn't you'll probably still have a good time.

Official Interior Designing Pony Game - Pony Place

The Offiical My Little Pony website has uploaded another new "game", though it's more of a designer with daily rewards than anything. You unlock friendship points by feeding pets and doing things, which you then spend on decorating your house.

Major Comic Reviewer "Linkara" Dives into the MLP Comics

A big name in the comic reviewing biz has decided to take the plunge on some of the pony comics, or more particularly the "Root of the Problem" arc of #27 and #28. Maybe this will bring more people into the comic sphere? I know I wouldn't mind fresh blood.

Music: Nicolas Dominique - Broken [Chillout]

Nicolas Dominique has produced a lot of music over the last few years, and one word that really springs to mind when I think about his content is consistency. Here he's brought a chilled out track, sombre in nature, about the goings on in the mind of Rainbow Dash from one of the alternate timelines in the season 5 finale. In my opinion it's one of his stronger tracks recently, and well worth a listen.

Legend of Everfree is Airing Early in Brazil - September 24th

Equestria Girls is once again hitting Brazil before the rest of the world with a movie. Legend of Everfree is apparently popping up on Discovery Kids Brazil starting on September 24th, a week before it's planned October 1st USA Netflix release.

Expect the usual swarm of translations when it happens, assuming nothing changes.
