Music of the Day #608 - And a New Requirements/Suggestion Gathering!

Following up on that music editorial I posted the other day, we are still working on implementing some of the early, easy changes while figuring out the "new" music posts. One in particular is how this Music of the Day will work from here on out.

Some things we need help deciding on: 

• This post needs a new name so new people can easier tell the different between this and spotlight music. Training Grounds might not be the best idea for it. Any ideas? 
• Should we be slightly more strict? Typically, Music of the Day is pretty open to anyone, but obviously this has had an effect on people giving it a shot when a good amount of it is kinda iffy.

And from now on, we are requiring this included in the submit email for songs: 

Vocal/Instrumental/Remix - Genre
(Example: Vocal - Metal)

This will go into effect in 4 days, so be sure to include that.

Hopefully this helps improve these posts a bit. Until then, we have about 2 days of music to get through. Head on down below the break for music for part 1!

Animatic: The Moon Rises

DuoCartoonist is here with one last bit of news for their new project The Moon Rises before 2016 rolls in! We've seen little previews of it over the past couple months, but now they have an animatic for us to check out as well!

Not only that, they say they are about 50% done! I'm sure this will be the standout animation of 2016 at this pace!

Complex New Rainbow Dash SFM Model Arrives

We've seen the SFM ponies go through numerous changes over the years, with each "generation" unlocking new potential. JuiceDane over on Deviant Art has taken it to yet another level, with a much more complex Rainbow Dash model. Everything from the lips to the wing tips have been improved with new bone structure for a variety of possible poses and general animation.

Some looks a little odd, but in the hands of a skilled SFM user, there appears to be a huge amount extra you can do with this one.

Full Version of the Season 5 Poster Released!

While we did have a fan version attempting to fill out most of the season 5 teaser poster dropped last year, this is our first take on the official one. All the ponies have been highlighted, except one poor forgotten one next to Dr. Hooves on the right. Maybe we will get an updated complete version to add them, but until then, bask in the glories that were season 5!

Pony Pokemon Style Game "Battle Gem Ponies" Releases New Trailer for 3rd Demo

I complained about the lack of pony pokemon mods completing a while back, but Battle Gems ponies is taking it to another level anyway. A third trailer has been released, showing off the battles, a bit of overworld, and some of the different character models you can expect to see.

Pony History of the Day: Classic Pony Music - 2011

You guys have spoken and these are here to stay! Thank you all for the positive reception for these little features, I'm quite excited to keep this one rolling and I'm glad to see you all are happy with it as well. We got a lot of suggestions last night so keep it up guys!
