My Little Pony: Art is Magic!—GEM OF THE MONTH—Equestria Daily First Look!

And for the final part of Equestria Daily's first look at IDW's MLP November Solicitations.

Looks like Bobby Curnow wasn't kidding when he said that something special would be coming out in November. I personally had my fingers crossed for an original graphic novel, but this art book is so much better.

What's more surprising is that this one managed to slip through the usual crowds scrubbing amazon for every possible leak of upcoming content. I tip my hat to IDW for managing to keep this one under the Radar.

While the reuse of Friends Forever's #1 Subscription Variant has been expertly done—kudos as well for placing it over a transitioning piece of Sara Richard cover art—I am very curious to see what Andy Price does for the cover for the first MLP Art Book!

…okay it's the second look. What with the existence of the volume having already been leaked to the general public by Amazon.com back on July 1st. However, it is a part of IDW's solicitations for November 2015. And just look at that glorious high resolution cover by MLP Cover Artist Sara Richard.

If you couldn't tell before, yes Discord is rowing the moon and stealing Luna's crown. I already love this cover to death.

The Next UK My Little Pony Magazine Figure Is... Nightmare Moon!

Nightmare Moon doesn't get nearly enough figurine love in the official merchandise side anymore. Outside of a handful of brushables and blindbags, she still hasn't made her way over to some of the more exclusive collectable side of things.

Luckily, these UK magazine ponies are actually pretty awesome looking. For cheapo magazine prizes, I couldn't complain at all.

Expect to see her in the next issue, following Celestia.

Talking Rainbow Dash Backpack Doesn't Say a Single Thing About Fashion

Color me beyond impressed. After years of pretty manes and love of tiaras, a completely random piece of talking pony merchandise actually has some new and surprisingly alright lines! Yesterday in Random Merch I asked people to send me a video of a light up, talking Rainbow Dash backpack in action, and a few people delivered.

Early Morning Discussion #271
