So for those of you who adore strategy games and ponies, the Ponies Ascendant mod for 0 A.D. has just released a new update including pegasi and unicorns. Head over to here for all the news and how to get the game running so you too can show the innate superiority of [insert species here]! We featured this mod in its fledgling stage almost a year ago and you can find that here. This game is sorta obscure next to the bigger names in the field, but that just means it's super easy to convince your friends to get in before it gets huge.

I guess the explosive force of the Yaks helped with last weekend's ratings. Anything low would not have been perfect for them after all. Numbers for this week totaled to 369,000 viewers, an increase of 109,000 viewers over Princess Spike which had 260,000 viewers.
With no real change in how Discovery has been advertising the episodes lately (meaning little to no advertising) it looks like Father's Day weekend in the US the week before was what possibly hurt ratings for Princess Spike the most.
One thing to remember guys is that these viewer numbers don't reflect us and how closely we follow all show news. These are just simple Neilsen Families that are affected a lot by advertising, holidays and other things, so don't take viewer numbers as evidence of individual episode quality.

Typically with the Equestria Girls chapter books, they are based around the events that happen in whatever movie is airing around the time they release. This one is breaking off from that trope with something that sounds a bit different.
An 80 page chapter book has appeared titled "My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Canterlot High Tell All (Replica Journal)" with a 2016 release date over on Amazon. From the description, it sounds like mainly a supplement to Equestria Girls as a whole, though there is always a chance it has some hints at a 4th movie.

Trixie says we haven't been meeting our monthly allotment of Trixie quota for a while now. Clearly this is due to the lack of her amazing magic in the last two seasons. She had that brief stint as a human, but humans don't have cute ears. Without cute ears, the impact isn't anywhere near as lasting.

If you are like me, you have probably tried to draw ponies quite a few times over the years. The lack of complex body parts makes them an excellent entry point for general artistic skill gaining. With the Artist Training Ground returning at the end of August, It's time to start preparing to learn again!
A new unnofficial book titled "Little Pony Drawing Book: How to Draw and Create Magical Friends" has appeared over on Amazon, complete with all sorts of really cute OC pony art, along with guides on everything from materials to anatomy. It is probably the most extensive look at drawing every single possible thing imaginable with cartoon horses we have ever seen, and we have an entire tutorial section on the side bar.

We've seen it time and time again over the years. A Spike episode airs, and the fandom is torn between a faction of people that loved it, and a faction that didn't. Quite a few bring up the way he is written when the spotlight is focused his way.
Princess Spike was a bit mixed in the world of reviews, which makes this the perfect time to dive into his character! Surely ideas are flowing around in those heads of yours on how he should be handled!

The UK just keeps on dropping early announcements for merchandise. Two new Equestria Girls: Friendship Games products have appeared over there for all, though they are only listed and not currently available. Luckily they do have a ton of images, so it's not a total waste.

Rugged pony is rugged. I can imagine many years in the future, after protecting the Crystal Empire and the rest of Equestria for so long, that Shining could develop a really grizzled look to him. He doesn't look half bad that way I must say! Very regal!
