The second opening for the Japanese MLP was announced a while back, and now has a music video thing to go with it. Sadly there aren't any ponies included, though they do use the actors behind the voices supposedly.

That giant roleplay/forum community, Gaia Online, has added a whole bunch of official pony stuff to their store. They have tossed out references to the show in the past, but never went all the way. Everyone from Derpy to Luna can be found via their new promo page, and searching "MLP" turns up even more.

If you are in the Indianapolis area, or plan on attending My Little Pony fair this year, Enterplay has revealed the Vinyl Scratch you see up above as their promo card for the event for those that buy the poster. For the collectors out there, this one counts as #F41 on the list.
For more information on the convention (Happening on the 6th and 7th of July), you can find their main page here. MLP Fair has a pretty massive older generation following, so if you do plan on attending, you might want to tone down the brony convention crazyness a bit. -
Katie Cook has cleared up the mystery behind the eight page Sunset Shimmer side story in the SDCC exclusive #9 comic. Apparently we can expect her to hang out in good ol' ponyland. I, for one, and relieved.

A new Friendship is Magic mystery DVD has popped up over on Amazon sharing the same title as the old 2005 pony movie "A Very Minty Christmas". Outside of the listing of 66 minutes that matches the oldschool one, all of the other information is current generation pony. Jayson Thiessen is directing, with Shout Factory releasing and a October 2013 release date.
All signs point to this being a re-release in G4 style, but there is a high chance that this is yet another Amazon placeholder. Titles have been swapped around in the past for pony DVD's (namely Equestria Girls simply being called "MLP: Twilight Sparkle".
I guess only time will tell. Until then, you can find the page for it over here.
