I wanted TRIXIE. We got TRIXIE. After 15 years, I can finally admit that this site was just one big push to get more GREAT AND POWERFUL episodes, and we were so beyond successful that even I’m sick of Trixie!
Wow…
Anyway, we are at 15 years. Unfortunately, I wasn’t influential enough in later seasons to get a bat pone tribe episode. I feel like I’ve failed because of that. EQD was truly a one-trick pony—a Trixie-filled hallucination. How the mighty have fallen…
On a serious note, though, congrats to everyone for supplying us with pony content for a whole decade and a half! I have a feeling this fandom will be kickin’ around for ages, even if G6 doesn’t deliver. It’s still poppin’ over on Twitter and especially on Instagram, where pony videos still get millions of views with hundreds of thousands of likes. There are furry artists out there pivoting to pony—not because they want to, but because it’s a good way to get eyeballs! There’s so much demand.
I, personally, will be retiring from EQD, at least for this year. I’ve mentioned it a few times, and I’ll do a huge write-up about it later, but after so long I just need a break! I still love poni, but doing this every day for 5,478.75 days is a LOT. I’ll still be spamming everyone with my favorite equines on Twitter, though, as that takes all of three minutes since I compulsively archive stuff I like and just parrot it over there. As for this site, I’ll either be looking for someone to take my place or leaving it up as a glorious beacon of this wonderful world of colorful horses, with the possible occasional post.
Anyway, go celebrate! Talk about poni, be bombarded with poni, or just wish for the poni you never got and hope to see in the future!
