Amazon has randomly reduced the price of a bunch of G5 pony toys as of a day or two ago. The sales vary, with some knocking off a whopping 65% of the price. It doesn't seem to be tied to any special event of some kind. Maybe they are rotating out for a new lineup?

To celebrate Children's Day (June 1), which is a school holiday in China, the official My Little Pony Weibo page shared 15 pony avatars. In keeping with the ongoing 40th anniversary theming of the MLP brand, ponies from three generations are included here.
Presumably to encourage fans to use the avatars and comment on their post, they're also giving away three My Little Pony Crystal Adventure G5 toys to random followers. (To be eligible, Weibo users have to comment on the post with a chat screenshot in which they and a friend are both using the pony avatars.)
