/r/place is long since over and we've done a few posts about the final pony tally, but this video does a good job of showing off every single war and tiny sneaky pony that happened throughout the event this year. In the end we had some pretty ridiculous represenation, taking over a chunk of the big "FUCK SPEZ" at the end. Good times everyone!

September is here on Friday. In the US Labor Day is this upcoming Monday. Which is the unofficial end of summer.
But just because the season is coming to an end, doesn't mean the summer fun has to! And IDW Publishing is here to remind us of that fact a new My Little Pony comic special issue today!
And to really bring home the fun, this issue of My Little Pony is the first one in the series history to have connecting covers with comic other than My Little Pony!
On a side note I'm getting really annoyed with every single One Shot/Special issue of Generation 5 of My Little Pony having a 25 copy incentive cover. It's too much.

When you first discovered MLP and the fandom surrounding it, what did you think about it? What were your first impressions of the fandom and show (before and after watching it)? Did you think it was cringe?
I had first seen pony appear in YTPs back in 2013, and I just assumed it was some cringe element to make the YTPs more funny. I found out about the Brony fandom through more YTPs and friends in middle school.

Source What do you think happened between G4 and G5 exactly that led to the way things are? How did everything fall apart when it was going so well with Twilight? Why would she do what she did with the crystals?
I think there are definitely some plot holes with this one, so it's pretty up in the air for interpretation. It would have taken a lot to make Twilight mess up magic the way it was at the start of G5. What are your head canons/theories for what happened between G4 and G5?

I'm writing this blog post from my crappy college apartment, so that's new. Anyways, on with the discussion. We've been shown multiple parental figures throughout G4 and G5, like Twilight Velvet, Phyllis Cloverleaf, and Queen Novo, but which one is the best? Which one takes the cake?
I think the best mom is Pear Butter, because of the episode "The Perfect Pear." She's such a kind and gentle pony, and we all know how Applejack turned out, so of course she was a great mom!

Source Do you prefer Make Your Mark or Tell Your Tale? Why? Which is the better content strategy (ignoring future plans to cancel one x_x)?
I think Tell Your Tale is really cute, and in general I prefer 2D animation to 3D, but the short-form style causes some issues with the scope of stories they can tell. I would prefer it if they were the typical 11 minute cartoon length instead of around 5. Make Your Mark also started out pretty rough, but it has been steadily improving over time.
