2011
Back in 2012, Deadmau5 was super popular. He wore a Fluttershy shirt at a concert and the fandom exploded again.
2013
4chan got ahold of a gigantic pile of Equestria Girls images, a concept that back then caused a whole bunch of drama. Eventually a good chunk of the fandom warmed up to it once it started airing, but those initial reactions were very interesting.
2014
Call it fan content day. Applejack will never emotionally recover from this.

Also this Dark Souls pony wallpaper is my default "normal people are coming over and I'm too lazy to look up a normal wallpaper so I'll just change my desktop to this and hope no one notices it's a horse".
Starlight Glimmer's book dropped today. "Space-time Suite" is still one of the coolest poni titles we've had.

Daydreaming Derpy dropped a demo today, friendship got manly again, and we had the release of the 3rd Legends of Magic comic!
