Back in the day, someone named Iamnotacleverpony sort of sparked a huge instrumental music trend in the fandom with songs like For the Lunar Republic and Hydra Pulse here.
2012
Someone got the VA for Commander Shepard from Mass Effect to report that a certain pony was the best pony in Equestria. Following the citadel meme from back then.
2013
Both the main link and alternate link on this Flutterwonder SFM video are dead, but there's a third one luckily! It got a LOT of people into SFM animating.
2014
The Twilight's First Day series was an c that updated for a while. I highly recommend checking it out!
2015
24 hour Teeshirt sites that violated ALL the trademarks were all the rage back in 2014-2016. I still have a few shirts from some of those $10 deals. The cereal box ones were always some of the most fun.
Pillow Pets were a big thing at the start of the decade. They were kinda dying out by the 2016's, but we got some poni.
2016
No Second Prances aired today! We also had one of those amazing "Sung in MLP Voices" from Eli Monty on this date, and Ponies at Dawn Awakening released!
