August will be a huge month for Brony Fandom Artists making their way onto the books! Not only will Pencils and Sophie Scruggs be making their way onto the book for the first time, but Trish "OMGari" Forstner will also be returning to the IDW Comics once again!
This time as the cover artist for the retailer incentive cover for Ponyville Mysteries #4!
Oh and for some reason it looks like the CMC are investigating some leaky pipes… I wonder if this is a commentary on anything.

This issue has a brand new writer to the My Little Pony comic line! TMNT Veteran Paul Allor is making his My Little Pony writing debut in this issue.
And in even bigger fandom related news, Toni "Pencils" Kuusisto will be drawing both the A Cover Variant for this issue, and the interior art! Way to go Pencils! I wonder if he'll be at Galacon this year…
Anyways, this is the first time an fandom artist turned pro has illustrated the interior of a comic book!
This is big news! Plus to top it off, fandom artist Sophie Scruggs is also making her IDW MLP Comic Cover debut with this issue!

Like our friends over at BronyStudy we've got a very special researcher from California State University, Northridge conducting a psychological research study and its all you, ponyfans! Her and her fellow researchers are super excited to learn more about our community as well as provide the fandom with an opportunity to enter a drawing for a print of Discord and Fluttershy signed by both John de Lancie and Andrea Libman (there are two of these available).
