As of last night, the My Little Pony Movie has officially surpassed 50 million in total worldwide box office revenue. This comes at a time where the movie has started to shift out of US theaters, but a few weeks into some other countries currently picking up.
It still has a few major markets to invade, but for a movie that was, as Hasbro put it in their recent investor call, a "modest" budget, that's a pretty impressive number. Hopefully this means a sequel. I would not mind at all having more big screen pony!

A young girl from Perth, Australia has died after a drag racing accident while trying to earn a junior license for her birthday. She was an obvious pony fan with her racer decked out in Rainbow Dash and the words Pony Power.
It's a sad bit of news as it is always hard to lose a person, let alone one of our own. We here are Equestria Daily give our condolences to the family and hope that she rests in peace.
As a side note, apparently drag racers this young are not uncommon in Australia according to the article.

Amazon has tossed up a listing for the My Little Pony movie in pre-order form. Only the digital one is up right now, but we will probably see a physical one very soon now that it has left theaters in many regions.
Unfortunatetly, they don't yet have a date for when it will be available. You can grab it over here to prepare though.
We will get another update once the physical one is available outside of Germany.

The L-Train has thrown his hat into the ring with a cover of Sia's song from the movie, Rainbow. One of the most fully realised covers I've heard of the song so far, the juxtaposition between L-Train's relatively soft clear vocals with an instrumental that gets pretty energetic works really well. and overall this is a pretty great effort. Check it out below the break!
