Discovery Family has decided to go ahead and just straight up release the next two Equestria Girls Summer Shorts completely free on their app. Hit up Google Play or iTunes to download it, and both episodes are available for stream even without a cable package subscription.
One of the two is actually a completely new Pinkie Pie song at that.

The German version of the My Little Pony Movie voice actor spotlight from a few days ago apparently went a bit further than ours by adopting a few scenes from the musical sections of the movie. Considering the soundtrack just released, it's pretty neat to see the songs themselves animated, at least for a few seconds each.

The team over at Lions Gate has fired off a set of posters for us to post up here on EQD as an exclusive for their #FriendshipFridays weekly countdown until the movie drops on the 6th of October!
If you missed the last few Fridays, you can download all of those posters over here. They have followed wildly different styles for each event. Ours look to be taking a more classic Hollywood Movie premiere style. We got Twilight, Applejack, and Capper as ours. There are three more out there that I will add to this post once we figure out who is dropping them.

With a complex backstory based on the Tantabus, this track is heavy and hard in all the right ways, and as a bonus it comes with some incredibly well animated artwork as well. Another character centric series looks to be in the works from the Equestria Girls line of books for 2018. We have one for Twilight, and one for Rainbow Dash so far.

Sunset has changed a lot since her very first Equestria Girls appearance. Back in the day I would have never imagined she would gather the number of fans she has years later or to be honest that Equestria Girls would have as many fans as it does now. Through cautious care of her redemption arc she has shown herself to be quite the wonderful pony/human that many now love!
So with that in mind what would you all like to see from Sunset in the future? We did see her temporarily return to Equestria and I'm certain a lot of you would like to see more of that. Should it be in the show proper (give us your episode suggestions in the comments) or in a future Equestria Girls installment?
What made you like Sunset Shimmer in the first place or what brought you to like her as time went on? On the flip side, for those that don't care for her, why is that so?

It's that time everyone! While we may be saying good bye to summer here in the north we still have a reason to celebrate. Today is Sunset Shimmer Day and that means a day with one of our favorite ponies/humans!
Mixed in with our normal news today will be a number of Sunset dedicated posts so make sure to watch out for those! From comics, plushies, artwork and more there is a little bit of something for everyone.
