It's time for some dubstep, with a couple of heavy new tracks to check out! First up is a sound design-carried piece from Crusader with his friend Mythos that has some pretty cool chord stabs in the intro before launching into some well-composed wobbles interspersed with some nicely placed vocal samples. The second track is from NeoN and Sonic Tap, and focuses a lot more on the melodic side of things. Carried by a really nice melody, it nonetheless has some pretty strong growls in the drops still.

I have to admit, when I made the currently running poll, I wasn't at all expecting Glimmy to take the top slot. You all know I have a bit of a Starlight bias, but I wasn't aware others did. For whatever reason, I always got the impression that people wanted her gone. With those results, I think it's time to discuss her future!
We have season 7 right around the corner, and Starlight may or may not play a role in it. I would actually be surprised if they shelved her for a season with how important she was to the last one. That suggests that she will still be kickin around, providing us with Trixie episodes and random bouts of spellslinging. Something that a lot of people would be more than alright with.
The question is, how should they handle her? Is she taking that same multi-season path Twilight did? Is she being groomed as Canterlots new Starswirl the Bearded like original Twilight was going to do? Or do you stand in the camp that wants her to take a season long vacation to get a Glimmy break?

Not quite a song as such, but too cool not to post! Quicksilver, well known for his many awesome features in the past, as well as some work as part of Luna Ticks with Francis Vace, takes on Stallion Slaughter, an artist known for pushing boundaries with some pretty heavy metal and subject matter, in a battle of guitars. Top pony music have released the latest monthly top 10, which you can check out below. Featuring a bunch of awesome musicians big and small, it's got a nice balance between electronic, orchestral and rock, with even some rap featured this time! They've also opened voting for an awards show they're running called the 'Pony Music Awards 2016', which you can check out here, and voting is open for the year-end countdown here.
