DHX Looking to Hire Storyboard Animators

As announced by Big Jim over on Twitter, DHX has open slots for Storyboard animators currently. While this doesn't immediatly mean a job working on Pony (DHX is a big company with many animations under their belt) If you live in Vancouver or don't mind moving, the qualifications are pretty strict:

• Previous experience as a Storyboard Artist on an animated series
• Ability to work digitally (Cintiq with Sketchbook, Photoshop or Flash, etc.)
• Strong drawing skills and sense of design, character and composition
• Strong sense of acting and timing
• Ability to organize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner
• Creative problem solving skills
• Degree/Diploma from a recognized animation school preferred

Music: StealingShad3Z - Worthy [Soft Rock]

Shad3Z has some of the better vocal work in pony rock music recently - here he's used it to great effect in an emotional soft rock tune about Twilight's fight with Tirek in the finale of season 4. Whilst this episode has inspired a number of power-filled tracks, it's quite interesting to hear a more sombre take on the battle, perhaps with more of an emphasis on the mental battles Twilight has in the lead up to the final fight.

Official Equestria Girls Minis Minigame Now Online

For those of you who like the minis and all the media around them there is an online version of the Gameloft EqG dance party minigame on the official Equestria Girls site. It's a simple DDR style game involving your keyboard, allowing you to play with multiple characters to a small variety of songs, unlocked by earning stars from completing stages. The only difference between this version and the Gameloft one appears to be some new songs, artwork and models though it's still pretty neat if you haven't checked it out before.

Top 10 Picks For Game Companies That Should Make a Pony Game! - Blizzard Entertainment

Blizzard is up to BAT! We are at #4 in our top 10 game companies that should totally make us a pony game, and the PC gaming gods have spoken!

To clarify a bit since a few people are confused, I'm well aware that all of these wishes are far fetched. This is more a series on how incredible it would be if any of these companies picked up the pony IP for a round or two, as opposed to any kind of reality. Could it happen? Probably not. But one can dream!

Music: Daniel Ingram - Luna's Future (GhostXb Remix) [Orchestral]

GhostXb returns with this beautiful string and choir orchestration of Luna's Future. None of the vocals from the original are present, but the instrumental has enough power and emotion that they aren't exactly necessary. I'm really impressed by this, and it's definitely taking something that's already been done a few times - an orchestral version of Luna's Future - and showing that it can be done again with a completely different flair. Well worth a listen!

Music: Projekt Equestria - Legenda Everfree [Hip Hop]

I will admit to not really knowing anything about the new Equestria Girls movie myself just yet, but this track, based around it, is too cool not to share! Something a bit different to normal, Projekt Equestria, based in Poland, has gotten a whole bunch of people to help them weave together a Polish hip hop track. The featured artists all help out providing some voices for the mane 6, and the inclusion of some YouTube captions means the story is still accessible to an English audience. Absolutely worth a listen!

We Love Fine Series 2 Chibi Vinyls Delayed

Bad news for everyone looking forward to decking their desktops out in We Love Fine chibi vinyls. The new set has been delayed until the 15th of March. They did not give out a reasoning for the delay, but judging from their last few, it's usually for the sake of quality.
