You know, I just realized that the title to this image shares the same title as today's new episode. Wow, that was some good foresight!

Today is another new episode day, and one I bet many folks have been looking forward to for quite some time. It will be interesting to see how they further explore a concept that hasn't really been touched on much in several seasons.

Newbie Artist Training Grounds VI: Day 6

Now when I asked for apparel last night I assumed I would get the occasional fancy dress here and there but when I saw the pic above hit our compiler I knew we had something special! Excellent job ToisaNeMoifs for creating the most unique piece of the night and a big thank you to everyone for participating as well with yesterday's prompt. In total you all drew 271 ponies in various states of apparel and peril which brings our total up to 1593 ponies!

Now that you guys have gotten a taste of poses, clothing, expressions and actions for your ponies, how about we take things up a notch and send them someplace different and maybe a bit varied in theme from what our ponies are used to? In order to do that I'd like you to draw a pony in space / draw a pony spacing out.

I wish you all the very best with the prompt today! Hopefully by visiting such a far-flung location as space or the limitless potential of a pony spacing out will help push your limits and experiment further! As usual, you can find the submission page for today here.

Friendship is Magic Writer Amy Keating Rogers Explains her Theory on Alicorns

The canon behind Alicorns in Equestria has long been a major debate among the fandom. Back in the earliest of days when Lauren Faust was still running things, there were only ever supposed to be two of them. Quite a bit has changed though obviously with the introduction of Cadance, Princess Twilight, and now Flurry Hearts.

Amy Keating Rogers held a panel over at Galacon. For those that don't remember her, she was one of the major writers for the first few seasons before being absorbed by Disney. She's also the writer behind the Journal of the Two Sisters, which created quite a bit of interesting canon for Celestia and Luna.

While admitting that her information can be contradicted at any time by the ever-evolving ideas churned out by the team at DHX, her take on the origins of alicorns is interesting. On a side note, this was the original idea discussed with Lauren Faust.

Pokemon Style "Battle Gem Ponies" game Releases BC Trailer and New Game Build

While their plans to attend FillyCon have been cancelled, the Battle Gem Ponies team has released a new build of the game, along with a trailer to show off some of their newest ponies added. For those that haven't been following the project, this is essentially a pony style pokemon thing.

Discussion: A Voice Actress Is No Longer Able to Voice Your Favorite Character! Who Takes Their Place?

(New, but equally awesome singer for Luna now!)

If you have ever followed a show for as long as pony has been airing, you know that inevitably, some characters end up losing a voice actor and needing a replacement. We've been lucky so far that such a giant cast of main characters has remained somewhat constant. Off the top of my head, only Luna has a new voice, and it's only in her singing form.

Hypothetical time: Voice actors are busy people, and the one acting for your favorite character isn't available for the next season of pony! Who would you choose to replace their voice? Would you want them to try to mimic the same style as closely as possible, or make up an excuse in the show for the sudden vocal change?

Be sure to include a character that said voice replacement plays so people can more easily relate to them if they don't recognize the persons real name!

Legends of Everfree Production Officially Complete

Equestria Girls director Ishi Rudell has officially handed off the completed Equestria Girls: Legend of Everfree over to Hasbro. Overall, the entire project took one and a half years from start to finish with only a small amount of time to spare before it's big drop this fall.

From here, Hasbro will snag some final release trailers for all of us to dive into while waiting for it's Netflix debut.
