Las Pegasus Unicon is a shining example of what can go wrong with a convention that runs their financials badly. Invite every show staffer they can get, comp everything, and hope the numbers show up to pay for it. In a city like Vegas, that isn't surprising.You can read all about it over at our history post.
As of yesterday, the hotel it took place at is officially gone. The Riviera Hotel and Casino is nothing more than a pile of rubble after a successful demolition. You can watch that over here if you are bored.
Here's to hoping we never see a con explode as badly in the future!

Reports are starting to come in that the Humble Bundle Exclusive Trade Paperback from the Second MLP: Comic Humble Bundle have started to arrive.
I can confirm this with 100% certainty since my copy arrived today!
The book is 48 pages in length, and contains a few pieces of artwork that were included as original art in the IDW Limited Blue Level Editions of the Return of Queen Chrysalis.

Ponies Around the World is happening soon, and it's vacation time. If you find yourself out in the world or anywhere with a cool looking monument/landmark/famous area, be sure to bring a pony figure! It can be a plushie, a custom toy, or even a printout if you don't have any.
If you have no idea what Ponies Around the World is, the basic idea is to take a picture of a pony figure at an interesting place, be it a historic building or an ancient ruin. You can do it locally at famouse spots nearby, or while on vacation exploring another country. Just bring a camera and a pony!

Hasbro must be doing a huge Eastern marketing push for pony. Joining the huge event over in China, Vietnam is getting in on the action with a gigantic Pinkie Pie display. Here's to hoping it finds some success over there! I wouldn't mind more foreign conventions in 2017.
