Gameloft Sold to Vivendi

For those of you that follow Gameloft games, especially the MLP game, there is some news coming out of a change of ownership over at the studio. The Guillemot Family that owned the label before have sold their remaining shares to Vivendi which has been in a battle to take over the company for some time. Now owning 56% of the voting shares it looks like the take over is now complete and what this means for the company is yet to be seen.

We'll keep you guys updated on changes over at Gameloft concerning the MLP game as they break. Considering that this was not a peaceful take over things might get a bit bumpy in the near future. Thanks to TheShadowscale for letting us know!

New Book In The Princess Collection Announced

A fourth book for the MLP Princess Collection has appeared over on Hachette Books website! Called "Twilight Sparkles and the Forgotten Books of Autumn" it's obvious that it'll star Twilight, but the page gives little in the ways of information other than that tidbit other than the release date which is November 1st, 2016.

Furthermore, it appears that a boxed set will also be available starting November 1st as well so if you haven't jumped into the books yet you can get them all in a convenient package.

Celestia Day Coming June 20!

A few of you have been asking for a Celestia Day during our other events and now her time has finally arrived! With the arrival of the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, we'll be holding a day meant to celebrate all things Sun Butt.

You guys did great with Fluttershy Day so make sure to submit all the art, music, animations, ect you find or create to help make this day a smashing success! Submit everything to [email protected] by June 20th and label your emails as either Art, Plushies, Music, or whatever it is you send in.

ComicXposure Announces MLP: Friendship is Magic #44 SDCC Exclusive Cover!

These SDCC exclusives are going to be coming at the site like rounds fired from a machine gun, aren't they?

Don't answer that. It's a rhetorical question. Yes, I am updating my SDCC shopping list.

ComiXposure has announced via their instagram page that they will have an exclusive cover for Friendship is Magic #44 by IDW MLP Comic Artist Diana Leto. The cover, obviously stars the greatest ship in the franchise Discord and Fluttershy in a homage to the movie poster of the cult classic Jim Henson film Labyrinth.

Considering the plot of Labyrinth, apparently Discord meet Zephyr Breeze and decided to play a little game.

The cover will be available at the con at the ComicXposure booth, as well as being up for pre-order on ComicXposure's website for those unable to attend. Currently there is no price listed for this exclusive variant cover.

Considering that this is not a part of IDW Publishing's Exclusives for SDCC, I have a feeling that we're going to be seeing more MLP Exclusive Comic Material in the near future.
