When Spike grabbed the scepter and his mind seemed to blank out for awhile I couldn't have been the only one thinking that something big was going to happen to him, right? I wonder if it will come up at all in a future episode or if it was simply an effect.

Cele and Luna here have a long history of NOT GETTING AN EPISODE. Look at these two, with their complex pasts, their mysterious lives, and their super appealing princess level toy models. You would think Hasbro would capitalize on dat moon butt!
Unfortunately, they haven't gotten their big, no-mane-6 duo episode yet, and it's time we brainstormed what would make a perfect one!

You've come across a someone who is looking to get into the MLP Comics and are asked the most logical of questions: where do I start? I'm sure the question has come up more than once—I know this for a fact since I've been asked this more than once—and IDW has recently come up with an easy way to answer that question!
No, it is not Friendship is Magic issue #1. Instead, IDW Publishing has released a reader's guide to the series! And the best part: it's FREE.

Marvel and DC comics have released similar guides in the past, and after nearly four years of published comic material it is a good idea to keep track of what happens when and make that accessible to new readers. You know, so that they can go track down back issues and potentially buy digital comics from all the usual places.
The guide has been designed to resemble a classic Hasbro board game. Parents and friends could potentially make it a game to see who can read through the MLP Comics as fast as possible. Which is a rather neat idea that I wish other comic companies would try out with their continuities.
Unfortunately… the reader's guide is incorrect. While the guide is organized according to series—so it's easy to follow for younger readers—there is enough crossover interplay between the Micro Series, Friendship is Magic, Friends Forever, and FIENDship is Magic that just reading the comic line by series will leave some readers confused.
It's also designed around the trade paperback releases as opposed to the individual comic book issues. On the one hand, the trades are constantly being reprinted so there's little chance of the books being out of print (for the time being). On the other hand, the individual issues are available digitally wherever digital comics are sold so it's not hard to track those down.
Don't fret though. Equestria Daily has created our own version of the reader's guide—in the form of a sequential list of the trade paperback releases—to keep everyone on track. You'll be able to find that below the break!

Well, this was unexpected! I knew IDW was giving a big push ROM Spacekight after the big announcement at NYCC, but I certainly wasn't expecting them to dedicate a whole comic cover themed month to the guy!
Much like with Art Appreciation Month, IDW is dedicating one of the variant covers for a bunch of their comic books to a particular theme. In this case that theme is ROM Spaceknight!
doomrocket.com has brought you an exclusive reveal of two of the covers for the forty-fourth issue of the Friendship is Magic comic book series.
They also might have included the solicitation for the issue.
And by might, I mean did. You can find it after the break and can expect the issue to release in July of 2016!

Hasbro has been on a trademark spree as of late with their Guardians of Equestria line being filed not too long ago. Now something new has appeared as a listing for HASCON as shown up on the US Patent office website. Filed just a few days ago, the trademark describes HASCON for the use of organizing conventions, exhibitions, fan clubs and more.
Does this mean we might be seeing a completely Hasbro related con in the future? A regulatory body for cons and other things that are out there? I admit I don't know too much about all this, but maybe the more business savvy of you can offer some ideas.

An addendum to that earlier post. Apparently this game is actually already released a while ago. Who would have thought? I don't think we got a single submission for it. We now have a second officially licensed My Little Pony game called Puzzle Party. It's looking like your typical block matching thing.
On a side note, the My Little Pony investor call noted that there was an upcoming game from the makers of this one, Backflip Studios, so maybe we have another one on the way?
I'm still waiting for my Elder Scrolls: Pony. Make it happen Hasbro. Don't you want to be the ones that get an army of little girls into real games instead of mobile cash ins? The possibilities are endless!

The SFM-Ponies community gave us a short release and a neat video announcing their the squeal to their awesome SFM collab Doors, as well as acall for contributors for the project.
