Looks like we've got some movie news from the panel after all as the first bit of news to hit the panel (besides a read of a scene from the movie) is the reveal of a new character!

From the Disc Family Twitter we have the reveal of Songbird Serenade, voiced by the musician and songwriter Sia! Apparently from the comments coming in Songbird is the Queen of the Hippos, introducing a new race to Equestria!
