Brand New Rarity Song from Equestria Girls Appears! - Life is a Runway

This was unexpected! A brand new Rarity song has been released.  Perhaps a short that never released? Or a cut song from the actual movie? Considering it's title of Rainbow Rocks, it probably isn't from the upcoming Friendship Games movie. That could be a mislabel though.

Rarity Season 5 Promo Appears!

Season 5 stuff is coming from everywhere today it seems! We've finally got Rarity's promo thanks to the Discovery Family Facebook page. Check it out after the break everyone!

Full 37 Second Clip of the Season 5 Premiere Appears!

We have seen a million promos, but very little in terms of actual clips from the new episode. Time to unleash the flood! A website called Toonzone now has a season 5 clip available from the first episode of the show. Expect some major information to be revealed, though it doesn't spoil too much.

Season 6 of MLP CONFIRMED in New Discovery Family Press Release!

Good news coming from a new press release sent out from Discovery Family! It looks like season 6 has already been confirmed! While we initially thought it may have been a typo, a bit of digging shows that this is actually pointing toward the end of 2015 and onward to 2016, which would technically be after season 5.

Exact Quote:

MY LITTLE PONY FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC SEASON 6 
In the magical land of Equestria, the studious young unicorn Princess Twilight Sparkle lives in the village of Ponyville where she and her five pony friends teach one another about the most powerful magic of all – the magic of friendship!

Could it be a typo? There is a chance. With how much hype is surrounding MLP though, it wouldn't be too far fetched to confirm it anyway.

Here's to hoping an end of the year announcement makes this the shortest hiatus yet!

(Update: Since some people think this is an April Fools thing, just be assured it's not, at least from our end. When EQD does April Fools, you will know it.)

Pony Proposal at Emerald City Comic Con

Quite a few people have found love through cartoon ponies. Hell, even a show staffer or two have hooked up with pony fans over the years. At Emerald City Comic Con, Agnes Garbowska (whom you may know from the Friendship is Magic comics and summer of TRIXIE) was commissioned for the piece above, which lead to a proposal right in front of the table.

What Do You Think of Non-Pony OC's? New Analysis Covers Just That!

We have seen a lot of original characters over the years, with the majority of them being ponies. This may or may not be due to the fact that we have a system in place for creating cookie cutter versions in Pony Creator, but no easy way to do it outside of the quine form.

Another Power Ponies Brushable Appears! Filly Second Coming Soon!

We have yet another brushable from the Power Ponies themed "Mane-iac Mayhem" set appearing in the wild.  Filly Second joins Twilight, Fluttershy, and the green maned one herself in an upcoming toy line that seemingly shares exclusivity with Target.

Heres to hoping we see these guys soon! My guess would be a summer or early fall release if past leaks were any indication on timetables

GalaCon Announces Michelle Creber

It seems her quest for her cutie mark has brought her accross the Atlantic. GalaCon has just announced that Michelle Creber will be headed to Ludwigsburg this summer.

4 Days of Pony - Cadance!

Four days? That's half a week! It's finally almost over! We survived!

Cadenza here technically joined us at the peak of pony. A lot of people were worried about her influence on the show. It was pretty obvious what a pink princess's point was for the merchandisers over at Hasbro. Combine that with the origin of her name, and things were looking a bit scary there for a while!

We shattered the original duo princess canon, but in the end Cadance wasn't so bad! They gave her a reason to exist that has slowly grown on the fandom as a whole. I'm sure a few of you still aren't too impressed with her, but there is no doubting that she has grown on people.
