Animation: Protopony Catch

Robot ponies! We don't get nearly enough of that concept. A new animation group going by "The Wub" has released a full length starter to what appears to be a new series, and their animation skills are super impressive for coming completely out of the blue like this.  Head on down below the break to check it out!

Onlyfactory Teases Spitfire and CMC Plushie Bodies, Discord Gets Eyes

Onlyfactory looks to be ramping up it's fan requests at an astounding rate now.  We have Spitfire and all three of the CMC in the early design phase.  On the non-pony section, Discord now has eyes and appears to be complete.

Bronies Positively Mentioned on Cracked

The humor site Cracked has mentioned ponies on a number of occasions, usually in a not so positive light. While I doubt they will stop poking fun of the fandom anytime soon, they have mentioned us in a somewhat favorable light today in one of their articles by putting a spotlight on our charity efforts!

Rarity Whining in Thirteen Different Languages

One of the most memorable instances of season one, and the moment that sold Rarity for a lot of characters, was her whining scene during the Diamond Dogs episode.  This is a pretty old video, but I don't think we ever posted it and I'm sure it will be new for a bunch of you.  Either that or I completely forgot about it.  Always possible.  I tend to do that.  This is what :30 slots are for though!

Twilight Sparkle's Secret Shipfic Folder - The Card Game

Like pony shipping? Like the idea of Twilight Sparkle secretly writing a whole bunch of awful fanfics about her and her friends, nemesis, mentors, and just about everypony else hooking up with her? Time to turn it into a card game! A group going by the name of "Horrible People Productions" has released "Twilight Sparkle's Secret Shipfic Folder" completely free over in PDF form for you to print out and play with.

Get both the rules and all of the cards themselves over in their Google Doc. PDF Downloads are at the top.

And in other news, they are running a kickstarter to hopefully get these printed out and played with at BronyCon. You can find that it over here! One of the backer rewards even does the printing for you.

More charity for you all to bombard with your money! Bronies for Good has released an update on everything that can be done this summer to help out the cause of essentially saving the world.

Entire Original MLP TV Series Heading to DVD

While many of us here first started our love for pony with MLP:FiM, it's still important to remember the generations that came before that led us up to this point, especially G1 which started it all. Now for those of you curious about the earlier incarnations of pony you finally have a chance to see them for yourselves on TV instead of on Youtube with the release of the complete 65 episode original series, courtesy of Shout Factory!

Now we're not sure as of yet if these are the very original releases or edited versions for TV, but this is still an exciting development for old and new fans alike! G1 is actually pretty silly and fun to watch with other pony fans as you take a trip back down memory lane so certainly give this a chance.

Expect the series to hit September 30!

Nightly Roundup #995

Heya everyone! I am glad to be back after spending an amazing time at PonyCon. I met some really awesome people there including a cool young fan named Claire that made this little piece. It was her first pony convention and she was there with her family and just so happened to win a huge cutout of Rainbow Dash at the auction at the end of the convention.

Hope you had fun Claire, it was a pleasure meeting you at the convention!
