• Fantastic Article from New York Magazine


    While it's not uncommon to see media outlets reporting on ponies the usual treatment of the subject amounts to a brief little article usually rehashing a lot of what has already been said. Every so often though you get a nice, thought provoking article that really digs into the subject and tries to approach things from an objective manner.

    Don't let the name fool you, 'How My Little Pony Became a Cult for Grown Men and Preteen Girls Alike' explores the phenomenon of MLP with quite an objective lenses, highlighting why we like the show and what this pony business is all about. Weaving a very lovely narrative, the author manages to keep the reader engaged and even managed to keep me reading (and I've seen tons of these over the years).

    It's worth a look and even has some quotes from Lauren Faust talking about the pre-production of the show, some of her early life, and well as some of her thoughts on her departure years ago. You can find a link to the article below.
