Make A Wish Foundation Grants Pony Fan's Wish
A young pony fan suffering from Muscular Dystrophy had her wish granted by the Make a Wish Foundation recently. Check out her story:
I thought your readers would like to hear about the incredible surprise pony party thrown for me by Make A Wish at my local Cheesecake Factory. My name is Alora, I am seventeen, and I suffer from a condition called Muscular Dystrophy (a muscle eating disease) I'm completely wheelchair dependent. My wish was to meet the voice actors of the main six. Unfortunately, my doctors said I was too sick to travel out of the state to do so. I just got out of the hospital. Instead, they got Andrea Libman to record a personal message for me in both Fluttershy and Pinkie Pies' voices on a brand new Ipad! I cried hearing my favorite ponies. I got several other wonderful presents, including a Rainbow Dash bookbag, pony dvds, pony books, pony toys, two of the Equestria Girls dolls (those things are seriously creepy!}, and the ever so horrific Storytelling Pinkie Pie.....(the mouth MOVES! EEK!) Most of my friends got to come, and I got to have my favorite type of cheesecake! White Chocolate Raspberry, Yum!
PATCH Pony for Kids
An organization called P.A.T.C.H. (Project Art Therapy for Children's Health) paints tiles for children at the oncology/NICU unit in the Children's hospital in Healthpark Medical Center in Fort Myers. One of the members learned that a kid in the unit loved Fluttershy so she painted this ceiling tile just for her.
