It's not quite yet Halloween, which means it's time to start thinking about the winter holiday season. Smart alecky quips aside, a group of bronies have taken it upon themselves to put us all in the holiday spirit by setting up a very unique sort of charity for now seven-years-old Kiki Havivy, the little girl fighting a potentially lethal brain tumor whom Tara Strong has been rallying us around for quite a few months now.
What makes this project unique is that it's not seeking funding, but rather a much needed boost of morale in the form of stories. That's right, it's time to put our collective fanfiction chops to work for the forces of good! Check on down below the page break for the official press release, an informational video, and as a special bonus, a video that got released a few days prior of little Kiki singing, circa age 3. If that doesn't motivate you, I'm not sure what will.

A new series of shorts going by the name of "Gamer Derps" is in progress, with some of the big names behind Epic Wub Time, Picture Perfect Pony, and VGPonies. If you have ever had an urge to toss ponies into various video game worlds, and have any love of motion comics at all, this might be the set to check out!

It almost seems like some kind of media explosion is going on lately. We just can't avoid it!
Norwegian talk show "Sent med Simen Sund" has done a full section on the pony phenomenon. The video on Youtube has been subtitled for those of us that can't understand it!

I was made aware of the supposed existence of a pony programming language (FiM-based, obviously) by a friend of mine in lecture one morning. He said he found it on reddit, but after many, many Google searches I was only able to find a barren, empty Google Code repository with no details or implementations. I was deeply disappointed for a few minutes before I realized I could write the damn thing myself. It probably wouldn't be good, complete, or usable in the sense that anyone could write an interpreter for it (dear past self: it isn't good at all), but I felt like validating my in-progress degree to some extent. I am also a fan of jokes that go on for far too long.
And so, ladies and gentlecolts, I present to you the rough syntax of what I'm dubbing FiM++.
EDIT: Here is a sample implementation of the 99 Bottles of Beer algorithm by DeftCrow using my syntax. He includes a more formal syntax in the description.
You can also check the comments section for more discussion on where this spec is workable and where it is lacking (which I may fix later) and some more example programs like Hello World.
