As was promised yesterday, here is the second half of Ponies Around the World! This one is actually a bit beefier than the first, mainly because a lot of these submit from vacations as opposed to nearby locations.
We will probably be running this again in the future, maybe some time after the holiday season, so if you do plan on an epic vacation to some obscure location or major landmark, be sure to bring a pony and take some pictures!

Rarity at the Golden Spike Historical Site in Utah - Deucey Dee
I found our travels to another state and back as a perfect opportunity to find the perfect spot for my Ponies Around the World shot. Sure enough, on the way back, we stopped by the Golden Spike National Historic Site in Utah, a place important in time as well as space. Here we have Rarity with replicas of the Jupiter and 119 in the background. (A bit of my hair is also in the shot- windy day.) The pony toy used was Rarity from the newer McDonald's My Little Pony series. I modified it to make it look more accurate.

Seeing as there is a bus from the Uni to Circular Quay every 2 and a half minutes, my brother & I headed over yesterday afternoon with the CMC. I don't style them or anything, I'm too afraid I'll mess something up, but I'm starting to think maybe I should.
You know, aside from walking around & taking pictures, or paying $100 for a tour or a show, there really isn't much to do at Circular Quay. It's more fun to wander over to The Rocks and explore the street vendor's stalls.

Dubious claims aside, Portland Headlight is has been standing since the late 1700s, when it was commissioned by none other than George Washington, and is a landmark to locals and tourists alike. Though the lighthouse is small in the background, the shot allows you to appreciate the craggy Maine coast, which is the longest contiguous coastline of any state in the Union. See? I live about five minutes away from the iconic Route 66 drive-in so I go pretty much every weekend that they play a good movie during the summer. This weekend was Brave and the Avengers and I couldn't help but think that if Firecracker Burst saw the Avengers she would love just about any scene with Tony Stark.
Also I have a second Deviantart account: cartoonistanonymous.deviantart.com where I've put up a few pony-related comics. Not sure if that's relevant but I tell just about everyone else I talk to for more than 30 seconds so why not mention it here?

The truck's home is in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, but this picture was taken at the Iola Car Show in Iola, Wisconsin. Also, Fluttershy is best pony, but Rarity was the only one I had on hand :)

Great Karg Well - Towmint
The remains and memorial of the Great Karg Well, a historic gas well in Findlay Ohio that was made in 1886. According to the Findlay Courier during operation 12.1 million cubic feet of natural gas was released every day, and for four months it burned before it was brought under control. This produced a flame so bright it made text legible for up to twenty-six kilometers and was visible for as many as sixty-four kilometers. The heat from the well melted ice and snow, and itâ??s great roar could be heard for five kilometers. Some older residents tell me that even though it has been caped of for some time, using a lighter above the capâ??s opening would produce a spectacle well into the 1960â??s.
The remains and memorial of the Great Karg Well, a historic gas well in Findlay Ohio that was made in 1886. According to the Findlay Courier during operation 12.1 million cubic feet of natural gas was released every day, and for four months it burned before it was brought under control. This produced a flame so bright it made text legible for up to twenty-six kilometers and was visible for as many as sixty-four kilometers. The heat from the well melted ice and snow, and itâ??s great roar could be heard for five kilometers. Some older residents tell me that even though it has been caped of for some time, using a lighter above the capâ??s opening would produce a spectacle well into the 1960â??s.

Misty the Wonderbolt loves a good airshow and this is one of the best, Farnborough 2012 to be precise.
She's posing in front of a Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_F/A-18E/F_Super_Hornet), the US Navy's primary aircraft carrier-based righter aircraft and the active service version of the aircraft the Blue Angels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_angels) fly, which is where inspiration for the Wonderbolts came from.
So her meeting the plane completed the cycle? I don't know..
I had a fantastic time and fully recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest in aircraft.

this shot of twily was taken while the royal jubilee was going on in honor of the queen...i missed the ferry and was stuck waiting 4 hours..came across this statue set which is in remembrance of the Canadian forces mostly navy/coast guard and them being out at sea for long periods....i stood around and waited for 30 mins to be able to get the statue to myself for the shot.....yes she is indeed holding twilly

Derpy at Neuschwanstein - Sawkie
Derpy overlooking Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany (which is currently undergoing some renovations, hence the scaffolding). On a school trip to Germany, I brought my own custom Derpy along and took photos of her almost everywhere we went. There were a couple other bronies in the group who loved her, but even the non-bronies really enjoyed her. This shot was taken from a bridge that goes over a pretty deep river canyon, so I'm really glad I didn't drop her! That would've been THE. WORST. POSSIBLE. THING.

i'm new to this whole image uploading thing, so i do not know if i did this quite right... Anyway, i though it'd be appropriate for Applejack to be at the Calgary Stampede! In fact, they had a program where parents could drop off their kids at a stage that showed MLP: FiM episodes (about 2 or 3 i believe). Oh, and there was also a horse there who's name was 'Twilight Dust', or something to that effect.
