For the people out there that just can't get into the whole Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, hopefully the new update to the Skyrim ponies mod will satisfy your addiction.
It looks like Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Derpy Hooves, and Luna have joined the cast. Check them all out in the video above!

ReplyDeleteAs awesome as the concept of fighting alongside my favorite ponies sounds. It isn't so appealing knowing the chances of seeing them die. But the image of one of them trying to powderize one of the monsters would be rather priceless.
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to make a modded quest where you can talk to the ponies.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame Applejack's hat doesn't work very well with the position of the player model.
ReplyDeleteApplejack may be best pony, but I think I'll stick to Rainbow for this. The hat covering up the player is just too much.

ReplyDeleteDamn me for having the PS3 version of Skyrim, this mod looks epic. Would change the AJ one to lose the hat so it isn't covering the player, plus her mane is lovely.

ReplyDeleteneed to be able to use them as player characters but keep all that horsey motion capture. As it is, they move great, but having someone trying to ride them just rather shows up their odd proportions in a more realistically-rendered world.

ReplyDeleteThe Luna one actually doesn't look too bad. If the eyes were animated I would download it but otherwise they kinda freak me the heck out. Maybe if I have significant free time in the near future I'll look into dusting off my modding tools and see if anything can be done to make that riding animation work.

ReplyDeleteCreator! If you really want a challenge, try hacking into the animation files to make Pinkie Pie hop around. That is, if each horse has its own animation template. I haven't dissected Skyrim, so I don't know.

ReplyDeleteFor some reasons, the previous version induced random sudden-crashes to desktop, for me, sometimes when I fast-travelled or exited into the exterior (from caves, houses, etc...).
