Seth, the fact that it was this much of a challenge to get a round up done in under twenty minutes means a lot. It shows that it usually takes quite some time longer to make it. And you do it (most) every night. Thank you, Sethisto, for your dedication to us. It does not go unnoticed.
Thank god I copied that, blogger is out to get my comments or something, this is the third time i've typed this up.
Well what do you know. I'm up for a roundup. Good news or bad news? Seems like good news all around. So what's good here? Wouldn't mind some of that cake, though it'd be a shame to cut into it. On that video, that Fluttershy voice is almost dead on. And ponies in the Pentagon? Yay!

So those nights, I dream about ponies. Other nights, I come here and draw ponies in my sketchbook. Which is almost full. Of ponies, of course. There's almost nothing else in there.

Eh, admittedly I didn't watch the SOPA video. I already know what it entails for the most part. I'm still saying it's very unlikely to get passed. It's too limiting and would cause a lot of anger from many many people. Things like this try and make it through every so often. This isn't the first time something similar to this was put forward and it's not likely to be the last.

ReplyDeleteThe OPEN Act proposed recently sounds like a good alternative, though I haven't read it over in detail yet. SOPA and Protect IP had worthwhile goals, but the problem was the did it wrong. I don't think they were made by people who understand the internet.

I get the feeling they either haven't got permission to air the second half, they don't actually know the second half exists, or they're simply not airing it because they don't think it will be popular and they want to kill it off.
Might be the reason why it's been aired over here at 3PM and 7AM. And 1:30AM. And 10:30AM. And 6:30AM.

ReplyDeleteUp until now, it's been tradition to have the elderly run the government, since it was once assumed their wisdom was greater. But this isn't hundreds of years in the past anymore and there are some things today - like the internet - about which the young are more knowledgeable. Perhaps the future of congress is an even mix of people of all ages. At any rate, that tradition of putting only old people in politics is now starting to bite us in the butt.

ReplyDeleteThe thing that annoys me about the SOPA bill is that is just about companies trying to stop the world from changing so they can keep doing the same old shit they have been doing for years. The Brony community's relationship with Hasbro is proof of how a company can work with the internet for a mutually beneficial relationship. Granted It came about by accident, but Hasbro has seen a jump in sales for MLP toys that they could only dream about before hand. The internet can be your best friend or your worst enemy, It all depends on how you treat it.

ReplyDeleteI aim to write a fanfiction based on the header image(the one with Trixie running from the explosion). I would like someone to help me do it though(edit/email back and forth, throwing around ideas). The premise is as follows: Trixie is given a vision of the future by one of the 'writers', an ancient and powerful race of prophets who can see alternate versions of the future and call on ponies who can change them for the better to ensure that the world is safe. She then hesitantly enlists the help of Rainbow Dash and Ditzy-Doo to form a task force to combat the diabolically destructive forces of the 'ClichÉs', another evil race...(see where I'm going with this? No? Good.) that has recently become active, meanwhile, our favourite party pony is stalking them, in search of everything that a story needs so that she can write her own fanfiction. Reply if you would like to help, though, I'm still in the 10th grade, so I don't have a lot of free time with finals and exams coming up. Also, I'm lazy as $1.00(buck), so I probably will not be punctual with these, nor my responses, NOR my updates. Finally the tags are RANDOM and ADVENTURE, and if you are not interested in working with me, please do not steal this idea for your own fic. This is the only idea I have at the moment that has not been done yet. T_T
